The release of Warner Bros.\u2019 Godzilla vs. Kong<\/i><\/b><\/a> has been delayed again.\u00a0Just a few days after the studio announced that the release date was being moved up from May 21 to March 26, the wait has been extended for fans in the US. But, it won\u2019t be a long one – the movie hits cinemas and streaming service HBO Max on March 31.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

This isn\u2019t the first time it has been delayed, though. Originally, the movie was intended for a March 2020 release. However, due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, it had to be pushed back<\/a>, first to November and then to 2021 altogether.\u00a0For now, the international viewers still get to watch it a week earlier on March 26 and for audiences watching on HBO Max, the movie will be available on the streaming service for a month after its theatrical release.<\/p>\n

This announcement comes not long after a struggle between Warner Bros. and Legendary Entertainment regarding the release of the former\u2019s movies on HBO Max simultaneously in 2021<\/a>. There were rumors going around that Legendary was ready to sue the studio if a suitable agreement wasn\u2019t reached. But, it seems like the differences were worked out<\/a>.\u00a0The long-awaited movie\u2019s official trailer was released <\/a>a few days ago, which garnered over 33 million views in just three days. The two-minute trailer shows glimpses of what\u2019s to come – an epic battle between two great icons, Godzilla and Kong, and a whole lot of destruction.<\/p>\n

The trailer hints that something is provoking Godzilla and there is also a mention of a history, a war between the species, while the two giants remain as the last ones standing.<\/p>\n

Godzilla vs. Kong <\/i>is the fourth, and final, installment in the monster universe created by Warner Bros. and Legendary. The movie, directed by Adam Wingard, follows Godzilla<\/i>, Kong: Skull Island,<\/i> and Godzilla: King of the Monsters<\/i>. This will be the first time that Godzilla and Kong will be in the same frame.<\/p>\n

The crossover stars Alexander Skarsgard, Millie Bobby Brown, Rebecca Hall, and Brian Tyree Henry.<\/p>\n

Godzilla vs. Kong<\/i><\/b> will release in theatres in the US and stream on HBO Max on March 31, 2021, and will release in theatres internationally on March 26, 2021.<\/span><\/p>\n
