The Pokemon Company has just announced that the game will be hosting another special Max Raid event. This time, the event will feature the <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/pokemon-sword-shield-reveals-new-pokemon-polteageist-cramorant\/\">Water and Flying-type Cramorant<\/a>, as part of the series of celebrations for the release of the franchise&#8217;s upcoming animated film,\u00a0<em>Pokemon Secrets of the Jungle<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>Originally meant to be out on July 2020,the release of\u00a0<em>Pokemon Secrets of the Jungle<\/em>\u00a0was way-laid due to the COVID-19 pandemic. However, even with delays in production, The Pokemon Company has not let up on\u00a0its marketing efforts, and has even worked on a <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/pokemon-go-secrets-jungle-spawns-egg-hatches-shiny-pokemon\/\"><em>Pokemon GO<\/em>-specific event<\/a> to generate more awareness. With the movie&#8217;s release rumored to happen in 2021, the company has turned to\u00a0<em>Pokemon Sword<\/em> and <em>Shield<\/em>\u00a0this time to keep both fans and players excited about the upcoming film.<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"related-single\"><strong>RELATED:\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/pokemon-gen-8-pixel-game-boy\/\">Pixel Artist Recreates All Gen 8 Pokemon in Game Boy Style<\/a><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>The Cramorant special Max Raid event was announced recently via the Japanese variety show\u00a0Oha Suta. In order to participate, players have log into their game accounts from February 4 until February 8, 2021. Doing so will allow them them to encounter more Cramorants in <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/pokemon-diamond-pearl-remake-should-shouldnt-have-wild-area\/\"><em>Pokemon Sword<\/em> and <em>Shield<\/em>&#8216;s Wild Area dens<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"320\" height=\"320\" frameborder=\"0\" src=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/SerebiiNet\/status\/1354916165643071491?s=20\" frameborder=\"0\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>The special Max Raid event will have players encounter a Dynamax Cramorant that will be at Level 100. With the Pokemon known to be a Flying and Water type, players are recommended to build a <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/pokemon-sword-shield-overrated-online-ranked-play\/\">powerful roster in <em>Sword<\/em> and <em>Shield<\/em><\/a> that will easily take advantage of Cramorant&#8217;s Rock and Electric-type weaknesses.<\/p>\n<p>Much like the former <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/pokemon-sword-shield-shiny-zeraora-free\/\">Zeraora legendary Max Raid event<\/a>, players are required to defeat as many Level 100 Cramorant raids as possible during the given time frame. Hitting the different milestones during the event will give the fans a variety of rewards. This includes a Flame Orb, Toxic Orb, and Light Ball, if 500,000 players are able to defeat the raid, while if 1,000,000 people defeat the raid, they will be rewarded with\u00a0a Gold Bottle Cap, 3 Bottle Caps and 3 Pearl Strings.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/tag\/pokemon-sword\"><em>Pokemon Sword<\/em><\/a> and<a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/tag\/pokemon-shield\/\"> <em>Shield<\/em><\/a> players may notice\u00a0another influx of online activity during the event&#8217;s duration, given how active players were during the Zeraora raid, and how easily they were able to defeat it in 2020.
