It was the first slice of DLC that made its way to the\u00a0title following its release, with <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/marvels-avengers-dlc-characters-rumors-leaks\/\">several other characters rumored to be joining the in-game superhero team<\/a> in the coming months.<\/p>\n<p>For those who are currently enjoying using Kate Bishop on the PlayStation 4 version of <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/tag\/marvels-avengers\/\"><em>Marvel&#8217;s Avengers<\/em><\/a>, Square Enix has recently made it so PlayStation Plus subscribers can\u00a0bag some exclusive cosmetics for the character. Currently available on the PS Plus storefront, a new outfit and nameplate are available, alongside 100 free credits to use through the title&#8217;s in-game store.<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"related-single\"><strong>RELATED:\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/marvels-avengers-kate-bishop-dlc-story-summary-explain\/\">What Happens in the Marvel&#8217;s Avengers Kate Bishop DLC<\/a><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>The outfit is referred to as the &#8220;Touch of Purple&#8221; attire and acts as a variation of <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/marvels-avengers-kate-bishop-release-time-date\/\">Kate Bishop<\/a>&#8216;s base costume, except with what looks to be a lighter shade of purple on her jacket and clothing. Fans have already pointed out that the design isn&#8217;t particularly exciting considering it&#8217;s very similar to the outfit she wears in the main release. Meanwhile, the nameplate\u00a0features\u00a0a colorful comic-book rendition of the superhero, sporting her sunglasses and aiming her bow.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"320\" height=\"320\" frameborder=\"0\" src=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/PlayStation\/status\/1354478396022128640\" frameborder=\"0\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>All in all, it&#8217;s not the most exciting bundle of offerings, but PlayStation Plus players currently enjoying\u00a0<em>Marvel&#8217;s Avengers\u00a0<\/em>can snag it for free right now. The release of the small gift comes hours\u00a0after news about the game&#8217;s next update, which will bring\u00a0Hawkeye to the title in a battle against a twisted alternate universe version of The Hulk known as Maestro. More will be revealed about the DLC in\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/marvels-avengers-war-table-hawkeye-ps5-xbox-series-x-february-2021\/\">February&#8217;s\u00a0War Table stream<\/a>, with the broadcast also primed to talk about the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X ports of the multiplayer Marvel game.<\/p>\n<p>It seems the DLC can&#8217;t come fast enough for\u00a0<em>Marvel&#8217;s Avengers,\u00a0<\/em>with the game&#8217;s playerbase almost completely depleted and chatter about the game quickly dying out. Even back in November, only two months after the title&#8217;s debut, <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/marvels-avengers-massive-player-drop-since-launch\/\">it was struggling to pull in over 1,000 players on Steam<\/a>, while financially, the game hasn&#8217;t done nearly as well as Square Enix projected. It seems the team&#8217;s hopes rest squarely on the shoulders of its upcoming additional content, which will look to integrate characters such as Black Panther, Spider-Man, and more.
