In 2014, Bungie launched its new IP,\u00a0Destiny.\u00a0<\/em>What the Washington-based developer was able to produce turned into one of the most popular titles of the 2010s. It took\u00a0Halo’s\u00a0<\/em>shooting mechanics, added in PvE and PvP activities, and culminated with a looter-shooter focus. When millions were playing\u00a0World of Warcraft,\u00a0<\/em>console gamers turned to the\u00a0Destiny\u00a0<\/em>franchise for a new MMO fix.<\/p>\n

Destiny 2<\/strong>,<\/em>\u00a0Bungie’s second installment of the series,\u00a0<\/em>is far from perfect as it enters its second season in the Beyond Light<\/a> expansion. Members of the PvP community remained critical of its reported ignorance towards advancements in Crucible. Bungie moved one step forward by answering those critiques.<\/p>\n

Beginning with the release of\u00a0Destiny 2<\/a>,\u00a0<\/em>updates and improvements to the game were mostly PvE-centric. Between adding new raids, dungeons, and secret missions, PvE earns most of the attention of Bungie. A competitive playlist was added, as well as a new iteration of Trials of Osiris that was removed in a future update.<\/p>\n

Neither of those was well-received by the community. Gambit is a blend of PvE and PvP, it favors killing enemies and a final boss in order to finish the round. Even the original Trials of Osiris returned<\/a>, but fell flat only a few months later. With Season 13 approaching and a new This Week at Bungie released, Crucible players were hoping for answers. Despite no additions to PvP in the weekly blog, Bungie took to Twitter to address a well-known complaint in the community.<\/p>\n

Cozmo, lead community manager at Bungie, announced on Twitter Friday evening that\u00a0Destiny 2\u00a0<\/em>developers will look into “3-Peeking.” That is the method used by players in Crucible modes to see around corners at an angle, since it takes the guardian into a third-person mode. Cozmo mentioned that Bungie is not promising any fixes overnight, or even in the future.<\/p>\n
