Since the Isle of Armor and Crown Tundra DLC Expansions for\u00a0<em>Sword<\/em>\u00a0and\u00a0<em>Shield<\/em> were released in 2020 instead of a new installment in the series, <em><a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/tag\/pokemon\/\">Pokemon<\/a><\/em>\u00a0fans have speculated that\u00a0<em>Diamon<\/em><em>d<\/em> and\u00a0<em>Pearl<\/em> remakes are up next and will be released late 2021.<\/p>\n<p>It goes without saying that\u00a0this gossip comes hand-in-hand with speculation, and it seems that a new rumor regarding\u00a0<em>Diamond<\/em> and\u00a0<em>Pearl<\/em> remakes pops up nearly every week. Now, a recent supposed leak\u00a0stating that generation 4 remakes on the Nintendo Switch will feature\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/pokemon-diamond-pearl-remake-catching-lets-go\/\"><em>Let&#8217;s Go<\/em>-like catching mechanics<\/a>\u00a0is being denied by a prominent <em>Pokemon<\/em>\u00a0leaker.<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"related-single\"><strong>RELATED: <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/pokemon-sword-shield-diamond-pearl-remakes-wild-area-raids-sinnoh-forms\/\">Pokemon Sword and Shield Features That the Diamond and Pearl Remakes Need<\/a><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>Over on Twitter,\u00a0<em>Pokemon<\/em> leaker Centro Pokemon LEAKS\u00a0has denied the claims that\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/pokemon-diamond-pearl-remake-reveal-rumored-february\/\"><i>Pokemon Diamond<\/i> and\u00a0<em>Pearl<\/em> remakes<\/a> will feature\u00a0<em>Let&#8217;s Go, Pikachu!<\/em> and\u00a0<em>Eevee!\u00a0<\/em>style\u00a0catching mechanics, and instead reaffirms that the remakes\u00a0will function like other mainline\u00a0<em>Pokemon<\/em> titles. In their most recent\u00a0tweets, Centro Pokemon also\u00a0denies the existence of a supposed\u00a0<em>Let&#8217;s Go\u00a0<\/em>game engine.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"320\" height=\"320\" frameborder=\"0\" src=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/CentroLeaks\/status\/1355727592247222283?s=20\" frameborder=\"0\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>The recent leak being refuted by\u00a0Centro Pokemon has gained traction by correctly predicting not only\u00a0the existence of a Galarian form for the 1st generation\u00a0Pokemon Mr. Mime and its new evolution, but also the way that fossils would work in\u00a0<em>Pokemon<\/em><em> Sword<\/em> and\u00a0<em>Shield<\/em> ahead of the games&#8217; releases. While the supposed leak states that <em>Diamond<\/em> and\u00a0<em>Pearl<\/em>\u00a0remakes would release in 2020, many defending the leak have stated that the remakes were simply pushed back due to complications related to COVID-19. However, Centro Pokemon claims that the <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/pokemon-sword-shield-crown-tundra-dlc-missing-pokemon\/\">Isle of Armor and Crown Tundra DLC Expansions<\/a> were already in development before\u00a0<em>Sword<\/em> and\u00a0<em>Shield<\/em>\u00a0released\u00a0and were not a result of the pandemic, meaning that generation 4 remakes were planned to release in 2021 from the start.<\/p>\n<p>Further, the\u00a0<em>Pokemon<\/em> leaker claimed that there is no reason to believe that\u00a0<em>Pokemon Let&#8217;s Go,<\/em><em> Pikachu!<\/em> and\u00a0<em>Let&#8217;s Go, Eevee!<\/em> utilize a different engine, stating that the games use the same game engine as\u00a0<em>Sword<\/em> and\u00a0<em>Shield<\/em>. Further, the leaker affirms that and\u00a0<em>Pokemon\u00a0<\/em><em>Diamond<\/em> and\u00a0<em>Pearl<\/em> remakes will also use that\u00a0same engine.
