who worked as executive director on Yakuza: Like a Dragon &ndash; has been a key part of the Yakuza franchise since it first launched back in 2005, and he&rsquo;s been with Sega since the mid-90s arcade days, too.<\/p>\n<p>Nagoshi&rsquo;s new role (which will formally begin on April 1, 2021) was revealed in <a href=\"http:\/\/fs.magicalir.net\/tdnet\/2021\/6460\/20210129451939.pdf\">an announcement<\/a> that also confirmed that the company will be making some more wide-reaching changes in the coming year.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"500\" height=\"281\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube-nocookie.com\/embed\/q3oA9zyvkEM?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>A managerial and organizational reshuffle at Sega confirms that the publisher is undertaking a split and absorption-type merger to &ldquo;transform its business structure to adapt to the external environment.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>The restructure will allow Sega to &ldquo;integrate corporate functions and administrative operations&rdquo; and &ldquo;accelerate global business&rdquo;.<\/p>\n<p>In short, the company is basically looking to make its organizational structure more streamlined to allow for quicker decision-making and better communication between departments.<\/p>\n<p>Toshihiro Nagoshi will be an interesting creative director; he&rsquo;s a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.vg247.com\/2019\/06\/18\/yakuza-creator-toshihiro-nagoshi-interview\/\">colorful and controversial figure,<\/a>&nbsp;and his comments can often come off as <a href=\"https:\/\/www.vg247.com\/2020\/12\/07\/yakuza-director-nintendo-switch-kids-teens\/\">fairly opinionated<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>It&rsquo;ll be interesting to see where he takes the company: recently, we&rsquo;ve heard that another Yakuza producer&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.vg247.com\/2020\/11\/15\/yakuza-producer-sonic-hedgehog-game\/\">wants &ldquo;to get involved&rdquo;
