Over the course of its 4 years on mobile devices,\u00a0Pokemon GO<\/em><\/strong> has received an incredible amount of updates, from regular seasonal events, to the addition the series’ newest Pokemon, the ability to trade, and most recently, new additions to Mega Evolution<\/a>. While the first few generations of\u00a0monsters were fairly straightforward, later generations shook things up by adding Pokemon with different forms based on gender, the weather, held items, and other\u00a0conditions.<\/p>\n

While in the mainline\u00a0games, players can use different items on certain Pokemon to change their forms,\u00a0Pokemon GO<\/em><\/a> previously circumvented this by simply releasing\u00a0the creatures\u00a0in their different forms at separate times. For example, the game first gave\u00a0players the chance to raid battle and capture Giratina in its Altered Forme in 2018, and later introduced\u00a0the Origin Forme version to raid battles in 2019. But now, it seems that\u00a0Pokemon GO<\/em> may change that method.<\/p>\n

After the game received its most recent update, a group of\u00a0Pokemon GO<\/em> dataminers known as PokeMiners has discovered\u00a0a plethora of new features coming to the game. Among other features like giving players the ability to Favorite certain\u00a0friends, new data suggests that the game may also allow players to change their Pokemon’s forms<\/a> at will in\u00a0a future update.<\/p>\n
