The original Charmed<\/em> ran from 1998 to 2006 and\u00a0at the risk of creating a terrible pun, it certainly charmed viewers.\u00a0The series would go on to inspire many other supernatural stories for TV shows for years to come. There is a reason to this day that you can still find reruns of the show on certain channels.<\/p>\n

It’s worth looking back at what made the original series great so that it can inspire\u00a0the currently popular Charmed<\/em> reboot<\/a>.\u00a0The original series did some things too perfectly to be ignored, and certain episodes will always stand out in the minds of fans as being particularly amazing.<\/p>\n

10 <\/span>S4 EP13: Charmed And Dangerous – 8.8 Stars<\/h2>\n

Piper and Paige losing their powers was the focus of this episode. The\u00a0Seer breaks a long-standing agreement between good and evil and steals The Hollow, an ancient vapor that he uses to absorb their powers.<\/p>\n

The episode was action-packed and held more life-threatening situations than most other episodes in the series.\u00a0It also begins one of the best story arcs of the entire series<\/a>, making it the perfect example of why season four built\u00a0momentum for the series going forward.<\/p>\n

9 <\/span>S5 EP12: Centennial Charmed – 8.8 Stars<\/h2>\n
<\/figure>\n

Cole\u00a0and Phoebe’s relationship always was tense in one way or another, but this episode brought that to a fever pitch.\u00a0When Cole casts a spell that alters reality, it causes a large number of unforeseen effects.\u00a0All of the innocents the sisters have saved are dead, and for some reason, none of the sisters seem to remember Paige in any way.<\/p>\n

The episode is filled with tons of twists and turns it could\u00a0inspire an entirely separate list, so we won’t try to explain it all here. Needless to say,\u00a0this is the strongest episode of season five and set along a chain of events that radiated out through the entire series.<\/p>\n

8 <\/span>S7 EP10: Witchness Protection – 8.8 Stars<\/h2>\n
<\/figure>\n

The Avatars’ insistence that Leo protects a Seer\u00a0named Kira sparks off the beginning of this episode. Kira\u00a0does reveal in a vision that there is a possibility for a future without demons that can exist.<\/p>\n

In the end, they are unable to protect Kira.\u00a0After being released by some minor demons,\u00a0Zankou\u00a0is able to storm the manner and kill the Seer. This episode shows so much hope for the future but leaves the path forward uncertain.\u00a0It’s the perfect way to leave fans hanging\u00a0and set up for the final\u00a0events of season seven.<\/p>\n

7 <\/span>S7 EP16: The Seven Year Witch – 8.8 Stars<\/h2>\n
<\/figure>\n

This episode in particular focuses on Leo and his punishment\u00a0by the Elders.\u00a0Instead of the expected punishment, however, he is forced to complete a test. He is completely mind-wiped and sent to a Texas small town where one of the elders attempts to steer him away from\u00a0the Charmed Ones forever.<\/p>\n

If this wasn’t enough, Cole makes another appearance<\/a> in this episode confirming that he wasn’t fully vanquished after the end of season five like many fans expected. So many little things were revealed in this episode with plenty of Easter eggs for fans that it’s no wonder it is so positively remembered by them.<\/p>\n

6 <\/span>S1 EP17: That 70’s Episode – 8.9 Stars<\/h2>\n
<\/figure>\n

This episode named after a famous sitcom<\/a> features\u00a0the sisters traveling back to the 70s where they end up meeting their mother and their grandmother. They have to stop their mother from making a deal with a warlock who plans to steal their powers.<\/p>\n

It’s always fun looking back at the childhoods of your favorite characters, it’s one of the things fans of almost any series like to speculate about. The opportunity to see it filmed in an episode proper was wonderful, especially within the first season<\/a>.<\/p>\n

5 <\/span>S4 EP20: Long Live The Queen – 8.9 Stars<\/h2>\n
<\/figure>\n

If Paige and Piper do not die, civil war will break out within the underworld. The new Source and his queen have to seek them out and complete the task, giving this episode some serious tension.<\/p>\n

This episode puts Phoebe in a bind as she has to decide if she maintains her relationship with Cole<\/a> over her relationship with her sisters.\u00a0The final scenes of this episode are beautiful and emotionally impactful.\u00a0We won’t spoil it for you but it’s certainly worth watching the series to get to this point and see what happens.<\/p>\n

4 <\/span>S7 EP22:\u00a0Something Wicca This Way Goes – 8.9 Stars<\/h2>\n
<\/figure>\n

Zankou, not satisfied with simply killing Kira, returns at the end of season seven to steal the Book of Shadows. He has plans to take over the Nexus and become the ultimate\u00a0Source.\u00a0In this episode, the sisters accept that they will likely die even trying to keep the Nexus out of Zankou’s hands.<\/p>\n

If this wasn’t enough, homeland security ends up storming the manner during the final climax of the episode.\u00a0Charmed<\/em> has always been known for its amazing season finale, this one stands out as being particularly momentous.\u00a0It left fans with their jaws dropped waiting to see the final conclusion that would come in season eight.<\/p>\n

3 <\/span>S1 EP22:\u00a0D\u00e9j\u00e0 Vu All Over Again\u00a0– 9.1 Stars<\/h2>\n
<\/figure>\n

It’s hard to think of a better way to end the first season than with one of the best episodes ever produced. D\u00e9j\u00e0 Vu All Over Again<\/em> was the perfect way to get fans of the series excited for what was to come.\u00a0This\u00a0episode was almost like Groundhog Day<\/a><\/em> where the demon Tempus\u00a0attempted to kill the sisters while turning back time each time he failed to do so to try again.\u00a0It absolutely keeps viewers on the edge of their seats as they wait to see if he finds success.<\/p>\n

2 <\/span>S3 EP22:\u00a0All Hell Breaks Loose\u00a0– 9.2 Stars<\/h2>\n
<\/figure>\n

Once again, charmed manages to put out another fantastic season finale.\u00a0When the sisters take in a doctor to protect them from an evil demon assassin named\u00a0Shax,\u00a0no one could’ve expected how close to death they would become.\u00a0The sisters become exposed on live television as witches and Piper is even shot by a fanatic because of this.<\/p>\n

Pheobe\u00a0is forced to make a deal to stay with Tempus in order for him to turn back time so that they won’t be exposed and that Piper will still be alive.\u00a0Season three ending <\/a>with her being forced to stay with the demon\u00a0is a fantastic cliffhanger that\u00a0left fans longing for season four.<\/p>\n

1 <\/span>S8 EP22: Forever Charmed – 9.3 Stars<\/h2>\n
<\/figure>\n

It only seems fitting that the final episode of the original series is considered to be the best one by fans.\u00a0Piper is unable to accept the death of her sisters and with the help of Coop,\u00a0travels\u00a0back in time to try to prevent\u00a0their deaths.<\/p>\n

Time travel shenanigans always risk the potential of being done poorly, but fans agree that this episode\u00a0was the perfect sendoff for an incredible series.\u00a0We won’t spoil the ending, we only recommend people go and watch the series for themselves to see\u00a0why forever charmed was this incredibly excellent.<\/p>\n
