A new tabletop game set in the world of\u00a0Avatar: The Last Airbender<\/strong>\u00a0<\/em>and\u00a0The Legend of Korra\u00a0<\/em>is due out next year, followed by two add-ons.<\/p>\n

Avatar: The Last Airbender<\/em> has been noted as a groundbreaking television suitable for\u00a0both children and adults, not only for its strong messages but for its skillful world building. The expansive universe of\u00a0Avatar\u00a0<\/i>has resulted in a call for an open-world video game series<\/a> as well as other mediums for fans to explore the world around Aang and his gang. Now, a tabletop roleplaying game led by Magpie Games will make that experience possible.<\/p>\n

ViacomCBS Consumer Products has made a multi-year licensing agreement to produce a tabletop game set in the\u00a0Avatar: The Last Airbender<\/a>\u00a0<\/i>universe. Though it’s not yet been announced where in the timeline the tabletop game will take place, Republic City will be a location in the game, so it could be anytime after the end of\u00a0ATLA<\/em>. Like\u00a0Dungeons & Dragons<\/em><\/a>, the playbook will provide tools to build the protagonists of the story, who will even be able to travel to the spirit world to rescue civilians.<\/p>\n
