During the promotions of <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Avengers: Age of Ultron<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> in 2015, Olsen spoke to ScreenRant about the introduction of Scarlet Witch and Quicksilver to the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) and at the time, she mentioned the idea of Wanda creating an alternate reality with fake children.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">When the reporter asked Olsen what she would like to see Scarlet Witch do next, she\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/wandavision-marvels-house-m-isnt-reality-bending-story\/\">brought up <em>House of M<\/em><\/a><\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, an eight-issue comic book series that showcases Wanda\u2019s power to warp reality. Part of the storyline in the comics shows Scarlet Witch suffering a breakdown after losing her children and creating a world where her twin sons, Tommy and Billy, with husband Vision are alive and well.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"related-single\"><strong>RELATED: <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/wandavision-surprise-luke-skywalker-mandalorian\/\">WandaVision Apparently Has A Surprise To Rival Luke Skywalker In &#8216;The Mandalorian&#8217;<\/a><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Clearly having read the comic series, Olsen spoke of how it would be \u201cunbelievable\u201d if Scarlet Witch were to have \u201ctwo fake babies and everyone tells her that they don\u2019t really exist\u201d. She went on to add that her favorite thing about <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/wandavision-scarlet-witch-lost-accent\/\">Wanda\u2019s character in the comics<\/a> is when she \u201closes her mind\u201d. But, she was convinced at the time that it wasn\u2019t a storyline she would never see materialize because it was \u201ctoo dark\u201d for the MCU.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"200\" height=\"113\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/sCLM6eBWofE?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">However, in\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/wandavision-episode-3-learned-week\/\"><i>WandaVision\u2019s\u00a0<\/i>episode 3<\/a>, \u201cNow in Colour,\u201d Wanda experiences an accelerated pregnancy and ends up delivering twin boys. In addition, episode 4, \u201cWe Interrupt This Program,\u201d\u00a0revealed that Wanda is\u00a0the one controlling the reality in the sitcom world of Westview. There are even instances when Vision himself questions whether what\u2019s happening is truly real, with Wanda reassuring him that she has it all under control.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In the comics, Scarlet Witch is also shown to be an unstable character, causing a lot of damage when she loses control over her emotions. And when someone comes close to realizing her truth, she makes sure to eliminate the threat. Something similar is seen in episode 3, when <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/wandavision-episode-4-monica-rambeau\/\">Monica Rambeau, living in Westview as Geraldine<\/a>, tries to get through to Wanda by mentioning Ultron. Wanda immediately becomes suspicious and Rambeau is zapped out to the real world, thus eliminating the threat of someone exposing Wanda\u2019s truth.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It seems like <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">WandaVision <\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">has taken some inspiration from <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">House of M <\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">and perhaps losing Vision at the end of <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Avengers: Infinity War <\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">could be one of the reasons behind her acting out and creating <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/wandavision-wanda-control-reality\/\">an entire fake reality<\/a>\u00a0in the form of Westview.
