While Nintendo has cycled through a variety of physical game formats over the years, from bulky NES\u00a0cartridges to compact\u00a0GameCube disks, they decided to return to cartridge format similar to the Nintendo DS with the release of the Switch back in 2017.\u00a0And while fans initially latched onto the cartridges’ bitter\u00a0taste,<\/a> they also proved to be very easy to store, and just as easy to lose.<\/p>\n

Most of the conversation\u00a0around Switch cartridges right now tends to be\u00a0around whether they’ll change in any way with the release of the highly-rumored Switch Pro\/Super Switch model<\/a>. However, one Nintendo fan has taken it upon themselves to come up with an incredibly ingenious Mario<\/em>-themed design for a Switch cartridge case.<\/p>\n

Over on Reddit, user whopperlover17 posted a video featuring 2 different versions of a Nintendo Switch game\u00a0case in the shape of the iconic green pipes found in practically\u00a0every\u00a0Super Mario<\/em>\u00a0game.<\/a> The cases appear to be 3D-printed, and\u00a0have attracted a lot of attention from fans either inquiring about the designs’ files or buying their own from the Reddit user.<\/p>\n
