In a Tweet from the official <em>Assassin&#8217;s Creed\u00a0<\/em>account, the company posted an image comparing the statuesque antagonist with Eivor and Basim from 2020&#8217;s\u00a0<em><strong>Assassin&#8217;s Creed Valhalla<\/strong>\u00a0<\/em>along\u00a0with the message &#8220;Time for another round of &#8216;Smash, Step, Stab.'&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Fans were more than eager to jump into the conversation, demanding to know how other\u00a0<em><a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/tag\/assassins-creed-valhalla\/\">Assassin&#8217;s Creed Valhalla<\/a><\/em> characters like Suttungr and Jotunheim&#8217;s Ice Giants stacked up against Lady Dimitrescu&#8217;s remarkable stature. The French\u00a0<em>Assassin&#8217;s Creed<\/em> account even joined in, sharing a variation of the original image with the addition of the Eiffel Tower, noted as measuring &#8220;122.5 Lady Dimitrescu.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"related-single\"><strong>RELATED:\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/resident-evil-village-lady-dimitrescu-cosplay\/\">Resident Evil Village Cosplayer Shows off Beautiful Lady Dimitrescu Cosplay<\/a><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>Lady Dimitrescu, also known by fans as the Tall Vampire Lady, took the internet by storm after her introduction at <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/resident-evil-showcase-event-recap-jan-21\/\">Capcom&#8217;s\u00a0<em>Resident Evil<\/em> Showcase<\/a> in January. Showing up in both the official trailer and in the PS5 gameplay demo\u00a0<em>Maiden\u00a0<\/em>as a menacing presence with extendable Wolverine-like claws and a predatory smile, the good lady enjoyed instant popularity, in large part because of the imposing figure she cuts and the way she towers over the game&#8217;s protagonist Ethan Winters. Compared to the monstrous bulk of\u00a0<em>Resident Evil 2<\/em>&#8216;s Mr. X and\u00a0<em>Resident Evil 3<\/em>&#8216;s Nemesis, it seemed that fans were looking forward to having a somewhat different take on a towering and imperious adversary.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"320\" height=\"320\" frameborder=\"0\" src=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/assassinscreed\/status\/1357740037652307969\" frameborder=\"0\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>Art Director Tomonori Takano clearly approved of all the love his character was getting, as he soon took to Twitter to reveal that <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/resident-evil-village-8-how-tall-lady-dimitrescu-height\/\">Lady Dimitrescu is in fact an impressive 2.9m (or 9ft 6in) tall<\/a>, if you include her heels and hat. Fans, naturally,\u00a0went wild and pretty soon the beloved vampire was featuring in cosplay and getting photoshopped into memes and movie posters with the best of them, catapulting her to Internet notoriety.<\/p>\n<p>Game studios also decided to get in on the act, even before Ubisoft jumped into the fray with the\u00a0<em>Assassin&#8217;s Creed<\/em>\u00a0<em>Valhalla<\/em> tribute.\u00a0<em>Control<\/em> developer Remedy Entertainment got in on the act by setting <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/resident-evil-village-lady-dimitrescu-remedy-control-height-comparison\/\">Lady Dimitrescu next to a few of the baddies from The Oldest House<\/a>, including the monumental 79.12m-tall The Former (though don&#8217;t worry, she still towers over\u00a0<em>Control<\/em> protagonist Jesse Faden&#8217;s measly 1.75m). Even the official Xbox Twitter account rolled with the joke by amending its infamous image comparing the size of the Xbox Series X to that of a fridge\u00a0to include\u00a0<em>Resident Evil Village<\/em>&#8216;s favorite high-heeled bloodsucker as another point of comparison.<\/p>\n<p>With\u00a0<em>Resident Evil Village<\/em> still a few months away, we&#8217;re unlikely to have heard the last of Lady Dimitrescu. Another gameplay demo isn&#8217;t going to be\u00a0available until the spring, so the content of the showcase and the\u00a0<em>Maiden<\/em> demo, in which the good lady features so prominently, will presumably dominate the discussion of the game at least until then.
