CD Project Red is teaming up with GO ON BOARD to bring The Witcher<\/a><\/em> franchise to tabletops with the upcoming competitive adventure board game\u00a0The Witcher: Old World<\/em><\/strong>. The RPG adventure game will launch its Kickstarter this spring, and is scheduled for an April 2022 release.<\/p>\n

As the name suggests, The Witcher: Old World<\/em> takes place long before Geralt of Rivia\u2019s adventures in The Witcher<\/em> series<\/a>. The tabletop RPG is tended for two-to-five players who assume the role of professional monster slayers that have recently completed their training from one of the witcher schools: School of Wolf, Viper, Cat, Bear or Griffin. The game tasks players with exploring the Continent as they take on contracts, face terrible beasts, make game-altering choices, and even battle fellow witchers.<\/p>\n

The Witcher: Old World <\/em>is launching a crowdfunding campaign in May 2021, offering the community an opportunity to offer feedback during the production of the game. According to The Witcher<\/em>\u2019s official website, the Kickstarter gives backers \u201ca chance to have a significant impact on the contents of the game, as well as the stories it features.\u201d<\/p>\n
