Taking in player feedback from the previous season, Season of the Chosen updated progression systems, added new loot, and added a\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/destiny-2-season-13-helm-social\/\">hub called the H.E.L.M<\/a>.\u00a0Even though the new season seemed to include a lot of player requests, that doesn&#8217;t mean the latest <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/tag\/destiny-2\/\"><em>Destiny 2<\/em><\/a> launch has gone smoothly.<\/p>\n<p>Season of the Chosen&#8217;s story picks up where Season of the Hunt left off, but with a shift in focus to fighting against Cabal occupations. Bungie is expanding the loot offering for the season after the lackluster reception by players during Season of the Hunt, even bringing back a few\u00a0weapons from year one tuned to current standards. Two of the three newly added strikes are <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/destiny-2-season-of-chosen-every-new-activity\/\">returning missions from <em>Destiny 1<\/em><\/a>\u00a0that have been touched up.\u00a0The initial release went over well with players, but shortly after release, some big issues began.<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"related-single\"><strong>RELATED:\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/destiny-2-season-chosen-explained\/\">Destiny 2: Season of the Chosen Explained<\/a><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>In a Reddit thread, user BoEnArrow025 reached out to ask if other players were also crashing constantly in the game. The issue persisted in crashing player&#8217;s games after a few minutes of play, especially when they tried to enter battlegrounds or the newly added areas. For one user, the problem was resolved on its own, but for others, it simply became worse the next day. Bungie did respond to the issue quickly, first announcing it\u00a0was investigating <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/destiny-2-update-tower-crash-fix\/\">issues causing <em>Destiny 2\u00a0<\/em>players&#8217; games to crash<\/a>, and then announcing the issue had been found and a hotfix was being worked on.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"320\" height=\"320\" frameborder=\"0\" src=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/BungieHelp\/status\/1359235010289487872\" frameborder=\"0\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>Bungie released a Steam-only update that it\u00a0claimed would fix the crashing issues for those players. Unfortunately, after this update, Steam players reported that they were unable to launch <em>Destiny 2<\/em> at all. The issue is being investigated at the time of writing, but no further updates have been made available. This is obviously not how Bungie wanted to start the new season.<\/p>\n<p>The crashing issues have definitely been a dark spot on the<a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/destiny-2-season-13-start-date-time\/\">\u00a0Season of the Chosen<\/a>. While players seemed genuinely excited about the promises of the new season, many are unable to enjoy the new content because of how severe the crashing issue is for them.
