Available for streaming on Disney Plus on February 12, the documentary aims to give Marvel fans insight into the stories of the classic and most important characters in the comics, including Black Panther, Ms. Marvel, Miles Morales, the X-Men, and many others.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The 28-second clip released on Marvel\u2019s official YouTube channel shows Joseph Quesada, Marvel Entertainment&#8217;s executive vice president and creative director, talking about King T&#8217;Chall\/Black Panther&#8217;s reveal as a \u2018Black superhero\u2019 to the <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/fantastic-four-mcu-movie\/\">Fantastic Four in the comics<\/a>. The teaser-length clip appeals to the viewers\u2019 emotions, with Quesada emphasizing how the fantastic team doesn\u2019t seem to make a big deal about T\u2019Challa\u00a0being Black.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"related-single\"><b>RELATED: <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/ryan-coogler-wakanda-disney-plus\/\">Ryan Coogler Developing &#8216;Wakanda&#8217; Series For Disney Plus<\/a><\/b><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">&#8220;When T\u2019Challa takes off his mask, the readers go \u2018oh my God, it\u2019s a Black superhero\u2019. But the Fantastic Four don\u2019t say that,&#8221; Quesada says in the clip. He goes on to mention that if people were in the \u201cmiddle of all this strive\u201d and read the comics, they would want that to be the kind of world they live in. What stands out is when Quesada is talking, the cutaway shots consist of old footage of police officers arresting Black men in what appears to be a Western country.<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"200\" height=\"113\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/hoaHcZ05IDw?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It seems like the documentary will not just focus on the backstories of the most loved superheroes, but will also be touching upon their potential impact on pop culture, the media, and the current state of affairs in the world. In the Marvel comics, the writers and artists have been known to examine the concept of equal rights. The stories hope to work as a <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/marvel-studios-kevin-feige-southeast-asian-superhero\/\">representation of its fans\u2019 identities<\/a> and what Quesada states is in line with their vision, hoping for a world where people don\u2019t focus on one\u2019s skin color.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Black Panther&#8217;s entrance into the Marvel Cinematic Universe was celebrated for the same reasons, with fans appreciating Marvel\u2019s move towards diversity. The 2018 movie, starring <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/new-black-panther-intro-birthday-gift-chadwick-boseman\/\">late actor Chadwick Boseman<\/a>, introduced the legacy that the comics hoped to achieve into the MCU.
