Today it announced that a new game is in development called\u00a0<strong><em>Disciples: Liberation<\/em><\/strong>, which is being made by <em>Oddworld: Soulstorm<\/em> contributor Frima Studio with plans to launch late in 2021.<\/p>\n<p><em>Disciples: Liberation<\/em> will\u00a0remain authentic to the series as preceded it\u00a0as a dark fantasy <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/turn-based-games-worst-according-metacritic\/\">turn-based strategy RPG<\/a>, featuring a single-player campaign described as offering 80+ hours of content. Players will pick from four different classes for their journeys and will then be able to recruit from over 50 different units for their army. Players will also build their very own base, from which they&#8217;ll launch their campaign. For players interested in\u00a0multiplayer,<em> Disciples: Liberation<\/em> will allow for two-player online skirmishes.<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"related-single\"><strong>RELATED:\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/all-walls-must-fall-tactical-rpg-switch\/\">Tactical RPG All Walls Must Fall Now Available for Switch<\/a><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>Accompanying the announcement of <em>Disciples: Liberation<\/em> is a short cinematic trailer. The trailer&#8217;s scope is\u00a0rather limited, but should give an idea of the game&#8217;s tone and <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/mature-video-games-rated-teen\/\">maturity level<\/a>. It isn&#8217;t immediately clear how the scene, which features a pair of people being tortured through tattooing, fits into the broader story and setting of <em>Disciples: Liberation<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"200\" height=\"113\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/_gMgFgLN0Xc?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>Those hoping to get an early impression of just what <em>Disciples: Liberation<\/em> is all about can go to the game&#8217;s website now and register for a potential slot in the game&#8217;s closed <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/scavengers-gameplay-trailer-closed-beta-the-game-awards\/\">PC beta<\/a>. It will run between March 3 and April 3, but will only be accepting 200 players.
