Originally releasing back in 2016, the game was nominated for multiple awards at that year&#8217;s The Game Awards, and has\u00a0since gone on to release the rhythm game spinoff\u00a0<em>Persona 5: Dancing in Starlight<\/em>, a revised version of the original game in\u00a0<em>Persona 5 Royal<\/em>, and now a direct sequel to the original game with a twist in\u00a0<strong><em>Persona 5 Strikers<\/em><\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Although the game\u00a0released nearly a year ago in Japan, it is headed to the west in less than two weeks, complete with new characters, mechanics, a shift to hack-and-slash gameplay, and\u00a0<em>Dynasty Warriors<\/em> developer Omega Force at the helm. With the western release of\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/gamerant.com\/tag\/persona-5-strikers\"><i>Persona 5 Strikers<\/i><\/a>\u00a0rapidly approaching, Atlus has announced a special\u00a0launch celebration livestream for the game on Twitch.<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"related-single\"><strong>RELATED: <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/persona-5-strikers-review\/\">Persona 5 Strikers Review<\/a><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>The\u00a0<em>Persona 5 Strikers<\/em> Launch Celebration will take place on February 18, just a few days before the game&#8217;s official release. In an announcement made over on Twitter, Atlus West mentioned that the livestreamed celebration will include a panel discussion featuring\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/persona-5-strikers-voice-actor-list\/\"><em>Persona 5 Strikers<\/em>&#8216; English voice cast,<\/a> as well as some special messages from the game&#8217;s developers, and more.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"320\" height=\"320\" frameborder=\"0\" src=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/Atlus_West\/status\/1359540130382565383\" frameborder=\"0\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>On February 18, fans\u00a0can tune into Atlus West&#8217;s official Twitch channel at 9 AM PST to kick things off, where new footage of the upcoming game will be shown as well. Both fans and critics alike have made it clear that they are more than ready to strike back with the notorious\u00a0Phantom Thieves, with <em>Persona 5 Strikers<\/em>\u00a0receiving <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/persona-5-strikers-review-roundup\/\">overwhelmingly positive scores from reviewers<\/a>\u00a0earlier this week. Even though the original\u00a0<em>Persona 5<\/em> game released exclusively on the PS3 and PS4, Nintendo Switch and PC owners are excited to steal hearts when the series finally makes its way over to those platforms with this new\u00a0installment.\u00a0At the time of this writing, the <em>Persona 5 Strikers<\/em>&#8216;\u00a0PS4 release (its most reviewed version) currently holds an 85% on Metacritic,\u00a0scoring just slightly higher than the\u00a0PC and Switch versions of the game.<\/p>\n<p>Fans are also just as excited to hear from the game&#8217;s English voice cast, as the characters have become incredibly beloved over the years. Just about a month ago,\u00a0Cassandra Lee Morris, the English dub voice of Morgana, along with\u00a0Erika Harlacher, the voice of Ann Takamaki, explained that <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/persona-5-strikers-why-english-release-announcement-long-wait\/\">the English recording process for\u00a0<em>Persona 5 Strikers<\/em><\/a> took a bit longer than expected due to COVID-19-related difficulties.<\/p>\n<p>Even with just under 2 weeks to go, the game continues release a variety of new\u00a0information regularly, including the release of a\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/persona-5-strikers-story-trailer\/\">trailer focusing on\u00a0<em>Persona 5 Strikers<\/em>&#8216; story<\/a>\u00a0today, keeping fans as excited as ever.
