Though the game has seen some new content in the months to follow, there were not originally plans to release more Title Updates in 2021. However, according to a recent message from the development team, player support for\u00a0<em>The Division 2<\/em> has changed that.<\/p>\n<p>It was confirmed that <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/the-division-2-2021-2022-content-confirmed\/\"><em>The Division 2<\/em> will receive new content through 2022<\/a> in an Ubisoft conference call hosted last week, even with developer Massive Entertainment also working on an anticipated open-world <em>Star Wars<\/em> game. However, some additional details were provided by the game&#8217;s development team via its official subreddit, r\/thedivision, in a post uploaded February 12.<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"related-single\"><strong>RELATED: <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/ubisoft-star-wars-game-ghost-recon-mario-rabbids-kingdom-battle\/\">Ubisoft&#8217;s Open-World Star Wars Game Should Blend Ghost Recon With Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle<\/a><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>This recent Reddit post confirms Massive Entertainment is in the early stages of developing fresh content for the game set to release &#8220;later in 2021,&#8221; and it thanks the &#8220;continuous passion and support&#8221; of the game&#8217;s community for making it possible. &#8220;We cannot stress enough how much this means to us,&#8221; <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/tag\/the-division-2\/\"><em>The Division 2<\/em><\/a> developer said. While the post says it is too early to offer details on what future content will include, it does also address high-priority bug fixes on the way for issues such as volumetric fog and screen space reflections on PS5.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"320\" height=\"320\" frameborder=\"0\" src=\"https:\/\/www.reddit.com\/r\/thedivision\/comments\/lif9vh\/a_message_from_the_division_2_team\/?utm_source=share&#038;utm_medium=web2x&#038;context=3\" frameborder=\"0\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>Dates for these bug fixes are also to-be-announced, but the overall confirmation of new content should be encouraging for fans of the ongoing title. While <em>The Division 2<\/em> has had some stand-out events this year, including a <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/the-division-2-resident-evil-crossover-event-live\/\">currently ongoing crossover with <em>Resident Evil<\/em><\/a> first revealed during the showcase highlighting Capcom&#8217;s <em>Resident Evil 8: Village<\/em>, the idea that it will receive more major\u00a0support suggests fans have a lot to look forward to.<\/p>\n<p>In fact, Ubisoft has seemingly been firing on all cylinders with regards to content for the various titles under its banner of Tom Clancy games. <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/ghost-recon-breakpoint-crossing-rainbow-six-siege-operation-amber-sky\/\"><em>Ghost Recon: Breakpoint<\/em> crossed over with <em>Rainbow Six Siege<\/em><\/a> last month, and the latter game has seen additional updates and a promise of better cheating security measures as people wait for the release of <em>Rainbow Six Quarantine<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>After\u00a0the horror-based game\u00a0was\u00a0delayed last year, Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot recently suggested the company is <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/rainbow-six-quarantine-name-change-ubisoft-yves-guillemot\/\">evaluating whether or not to\u00a0change <em>Rainbow Six Quarantine<\/em>&#8216;s name<\/a>\u00a0due to potential associations with the ongoing coronavirus pandemic. Regardless if that happens or not, fans of the franchise will be able to anticipate more content in <em>The Division 2<\/em> coming later this year as they wait for <em>Quarantine<\/em> to get more concrete release details.<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>The Division 2\u00a0<\/em><\/strong>is available now for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
