Hence, it\u2019s not surprising that there was also a <em>Super Mario Bros.<\/em> show to go along with Link\u2019s animated adventures.\u00a0It&#8217;s impossible to tell which one <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/legend-zelda-ocarina-time-vs-super-mario-64-game-better\/\">got better treatment between Link and Mario<\/a> as both of these and the disastrous <em>Super Mario Bros.<\/em> movie were relegated as forgettable attempts by Nintendo to cash in on their prized mascots, and it\u2019s taken the company a few decades to get over such failures.<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"related-single\"><strong>RELATED: <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/rumor-zelda-breath-wild-2-release-window-leaked-retailer\/\">Rumor: Zelda Breath of the Wild 2 Release Window Leaked By Retailer<\/a><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>Despite all that, the internet never forgets and recently a YouTuber by the name of KhalidSMShahin decided to mash up <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/what-the-1989-zelda-cartoon-got-right-rom-com\/\"><em>The Legend of Zelda<\/em>\u00a0cartoon&#8217;s dialogue<\/a>\u00a0with another relic from the 90s, <em>Beavis and Butt-Head<\/em>. MTV\u2019s <em>Beavis and Butt-Head<\/em> was an outlandish satiric way to express social commentary through the eyes of two dimwitted friends, whose main interests were MTV music videos and pursuing \u201chot chicks\u201d to no avail. Watch on to see Beavis masterfully take on the role of the blonde hero of time and wait until the end for a surprise.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"200\" height=\"150\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/lDPRwLlpdTU?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p><em>The Legend of Beavis<\/em> features not only incredibly well-synched dialogue, but also some familiar melodies and sound effects from <em>The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time<\/em>, <em>Breath of the Wild,<\/em> and other games, with Butt-Head assuming the role of the series\u2019 King Harkininan, Zelda\u2019s father. Somehow, retaining Ganon, the Moblins and Zelda\u2019s dialogue works incredibly well; at the same time, Beavis\u2019 giggles and noises are perfectly suited to replace Link\u2019s own familiar collection of grunts.<\/p>\n<p>KhalidSMShahin claims it took him forever to find the right lines for his video with a special thanks to his sister for lip-syncing and blending the two videos together for the whole thing. Aside from being completely hilarious, this fan-made creation is a perfect reminder of just how many video game-related shows there were back then, as even Capcom took a swing at <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/mega-man-cartoon-90s-got-right\/\">these kinds of productions with <em>Mega Man<\/em><\/a> and <em>Street Fighter<\/em>, the latter even getting an even more forgettable movie.<\/p>\n<p>In recent times, video game companies have gotten more skillful at branching out their properties, with Nintendo being a prime example of this with <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/super-nintendo-world-mario-kart-koopas-challenge-video\/\">its gorgeous new Super Nintendo World theme park<\/a> and an upcoming <em>Super Mario<\/em> movie, as well as other mysterious projects down the line.
