Little Nightmares 2<\/strong><\/em> has arrived and it is one of the first hits of 2021.\u00a0Tarsier Studios’s follow-up to the original cult-classic, Little Nightmares 2 <\/a><\/i>has received high praise<\/a> for its gameplay improvements, tense moments, great storytelling, and ability to provide a horror experience in a package outside of the traditional first-person or third-person game.<\/p>\n

Little Nightmares 2\u00a0<\/em>is not a particularly long game, and that may be a good thing. There are some horror games that take a long time to complete<\/a>, and at times that can be overwhelming. The genre can be one that takes a toll on the player, so a tight succinct experience can arguably be the best route. That is the case with Little Nightmares 2<\/em>. Whether a player is attempting to simply beat the campaign, or take the completionist route, Little Nightmares 2<\/em>\u00a0is not a lengthy experience.<\/p>\n

To complete the main story of Little Nightmares 2<\/em>, it will take players about five and a half hours on average. That is about two hours longer than the campaign of the original Little Nightmares<\/em>. Meanwhile, if players want to get all of the collectibles and achievements or trophies in Little Nightmares 2<\/em><\/a>, it should take around eight hours. The completionist route took about six and a half hours on the original Little Nightmares.<\/em><\/p>\n

Little Nightmares 2<\/em><\/a> is a title that has instantly captured the mind of quite a few gamers for its aesthetic, game design, music, world-building, and vibe. The fact that the entire experience can be completed in less than ten hours means that it does not overstay its welcome. There will certainly be those who also are bummed to learn that the game will be over that quickly, however.\u00a0 The first game did see some additional downloadable content that extended some of the story, so it is possible that Little Nightmares 2<\/em> will see more story content in the future as well.<\/p>\n

Little Nightmares 2<\/em> certainly won’t top the charts as the longest action game of the year<\/a> by the end of 2021, but it does not have to. Some games are designed as open-world experiences, meant to be played, explored, and enjoyed for hours on end. Other games are much more compact and in some ways are supposed to be one-and-done type games. That being said, the first game was re-played over and over by so many, as the detail in the game’s design was praised. It is very possible that Little Nightmares 2<\/em> will find a fanbase again that will keep coming back for more, regardless of how long it takes to complete it.<\/p>\n

Little Nightmares 2<\/em><\/strong>\u00a0is available now for PC, PS4, Switch, and Xbox One, with PS5 and Xbox Series X\/S versions also in development.<\/p>\n
