Pokemon GO<\/strong><\/em>\u00a0has been gearing up for Pokemon’s 25th Anniversary this year with its own slew of events. Most recently, Trainers\u00a0have been prepping for the upcoming Kanto Tour, which is the first in-game event featuring two distinct versions in honor of the original mainline titles,\u00a0Pokemon<\/em> Red\u00a0<\/em>and\u00a0Green<\/em>.<\/p>\n

While the ticketed global Kanto Tour promises players a virtual journey\u00a0across Kanto and its 151 native species, it seems that\u00a0Pokemon GO<\/em><\/a> is ready to keep the Kanto-themed train going for a bit longer after the Tour.\u00a0As part of these\u00a0recently announced “festivities,” players will continue to celebrate Kanto through a series of in-game bonuses.<\/p>\n

The new Kanto-themed festivities will begin just as the\u00a0Pokemon GO<\/em>\u00a0Tour: Kanto<\/a> wraps up, and last until Pokemon Day. The event starts on Sunday, February 21 at 10:00 a.m.,\u00a0and ends on\u00a0Saturday, February 27 at 8:00\u00a0p.m. (local time).<\/p>\n

Some of the\u00a0Pokemon GO<\/em>\u00a0Tour: Kanto Collection Challenges<\/a> will continue through the duration of this following event, but otherwise it will feature a new set of Kanto Pokemon in Raids, Eggs, and the wild.<\/p>\n
