Players need to <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/valheim-how-to-build-house\/\">build a sturdy home to sleep safely in <em>Valheim<\/em><\/a> as well as forge a variety of weapons, armor, and arrows to defend it and themselves. One of the most powerful weapons are Frost Arrows.<\/p>\n<p>Players can construct elemental and strong arrows in\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/valheim-upgrade-workbench-how-level-1-2-3-4-max-improvement\/\"><em>Valheim\u00a0<\/em>with an upgraded workbench<\/a> at Level 3. There are a variety to choose from, and players can use these arrows to deal additional damage to enemies, especially enemies weak to that particular element. The types of high-level arrows that can currently be made are:<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"related-single\"><strong>RELATED:\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/valheim-steam-best-seller\/\">Valheim Tops Steam Best Sellers List for Second Week in a Row<\/a><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Frost<\/li>\n<li>Fire<\/li>\n<li>Poison<\/li>\n<li>Obsidian<\/li>\n<li>Needle<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>All these types of arrows are extremely powerful and will help players to make quick work of just about any enemy in <em><a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/tag\/valheim\/\">Valheim<\/a><\/em>. However, they require some difficult to get resources found in very dangerous places.<\/p>\n<p>Once players have upgraded their workbenches to Level 3, they will need to collect four ingredients to make Frost Arrows. They will need basic wood and feathers, but players will also need to find Freeze Glands and <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/valheim-obsidian-collecting-guide\/\">Obsidian in <em>Valheim<\/em><\/a> to make them. The recipe for 20 Frost Arrows is:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Wood (8)<\/li>\n<li>Obsidian (4)<\/li>\n<li>Feathers (2)<\/li>\n<li>Freeze gland (1)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Freeze glands\u00a0can only be found\u00a0by killing drakes in the Mountain Biome, which are not easy enemies to kill. Thankfully, players only need one Freeze Gland for every 20 Frost arrows. The only other crafting recipe found so far in the Early Access version of\u00a0<em>Valheim\u00a0<\/em>is for the icy\u00a0hammer called the Forstner, so players won&#8217;t have to worry about trying to collect too many of this rare material.<\/p>\n<figure><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/static3.gamerantimages.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/02\/Frost-Arrows-Valheim-1.jpg\"\/><\/figure>\n<p>This is probably the hardest part of making Frost Arrows or any of the other high-level arrows in\u00a0<em>Valheim<\/em>. Obsidian is also found in the Mountain Biome, where players have to worry about freezing to death if they spend too long there. Obsidian is a rare, black ore found in the snow, and it can only be mined with iron pickaxes or stronger.
