Ultimate<\/em><\/strong> has been the most ambitious\u00a0<em>Smash<\/em> game, let alone one of the most ambitious video game crossovers yet. With Nintendo all-stars clashing with the likes of video game icons like platforming\u00a0legends\u00a0Banjo-Kazooie, Steve from\u00a0<em>Minecraft<\/em>, and the villain of all villains, Sephiroth,\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/gamerant.com\/tag\/super-smash-bros-ultimate\"><em>Ultimate<\/em><\/a> has been the game to make many fans&#8217; dreams come true.<\/p>\n<p>However, since its earliest days,\u00a0speculation and\u00a0<em>Super Smash Bros.<\/em> have gone hand-in-hand, with fans regularly\u00a0creating their own theories and predictions for which video game all-stars they believe deserve a spot on\u00a0the\u00a0roster of Nintendo&#8217;s trademark platform fighter. And while\u00a0<em>Super Smash Bros. Ultimate<\/em> has brought a plethora of fan-favorite characters to the table, some fans are still clamoring for their favorite characters, with one notable request\u00a0being <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/super-smash-bros-ultimate-dlc-dante-devil-may-cry-good\/\">Dante from\u00a0<em>Devil May Cry<\/em>.<\/a><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"related-single\"><strong>RELATED: <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/super-smash-bros-ultimate-dr-eggman-dlc\/\">Some Super Smash Bros. Ultimate Fans Want Dr. Eggman DLC<\/a><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>With this morning&#8217;s announcement that\u00a0<em>Super Smash Bros. Ultimate<\/em> will appear during\u00a0tomorrow&#8217;s long-awaited Nintendo Direct presentation, fans have gotten Dante trending on Twitter by expressing hope for the character&#8217;s inclusion in the game. Along with Crash Bandicoot and Phoenix Wright, <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/super-smash-bros-ultimate-dlc-dante-devil-may-cry\/\">Dante has long been speculated to join\u00a0<em>Super Smash Bros. Ultimate<\/em><\/a><em>\u00a0<\/em>since its release, and there seems to be quite a bit of evidence backing up the character&#8217;s possible inclusion in\u00a0<em>Smash<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"320\" height=\"320\" frameborder=\"0\" src=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/1128_Lizzie\/status\/1361687488151101447?s=20\" frameborder=\"0\"><\/iframe><iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"320\" height=\"320\" frameborder=\"0\" src=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/HeRoicVergiL\/status\/1361734445682860037?s=20\" frameborder=\"0\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>One of the most popular reasons fans think Dante could come\u00a0to <em>Ultimate<\/em> is\u00a0Nintendo&#8217;s strong\u00a0relationship with Capcom. <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/monster-hunter-rise-switch-special-edition-pro-controller\/\"><em>Monster Hunter Rise<\/em><\/a> is set to release as a Nintendo Switch-exclusive just next month, and rumors about a Switch-focused\u00a0<em>Resident Evil<\/em> game have been floating around lately as well. And while Capcom already has quite of bit of representation in\u00a0<em>Super Smash Bros.\u00a0<\/em><em>Ultimate<\/em>\u00a0with Mega Man, Ryu,\u00a0and Ken as playable characters, as well as <em>Monster Hunter<\/em>&#8216;s\u00a0Rathalos appearing as a boss, most of the substantial Capcom-related content in the game\u00a0seems to be limited to the\u00a0<em>Street Fighter<\/em> and\u00a0<em>Mega Man<\/em> series.\u00a0And while many fans had speculated that an announcement for Dante in <em>Smash<\/em> would tie-in with\u00a0the release of\u00a0<i>Devil May Cry 3\u00a0Special Edition<\/i> on the Switch last year, the character has yet to smash with the rest of them.<\/p>\n<p>It&#8217;s worth noting that fans have noticed other possible nods to Dante&#8217;s inclusion in\u00a0<em>Smash<\/em>, such as a 2018 Twitter poll created by <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/hideki-kamiya-fans-forget-bayonetta-3\/\">PlatinumGames&#8217; Hideki Kamiya<\/a> on which characters fans\u00a0would like to see in\u00a0<em>Smash<\/em>, with Dante winning by a large margin. Additionally, Brian Hanford, who serves as the English voice actor for\u00a0V from\u00a0<em>Devil May Cry 5<\/em> is thought to have let Dante&#8217;s inclusion in\u00a0<em>Super Smash Bros. Ultimate<\/em> slip during an interview, saying, &#8220;To be part of Marvel vs Capcom or Super Smash Bros would be huge, which is what Dante is going to be.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Although many fans seem to be set on Crash Bandicoot&#8217;s inclusion in\u00a0<em>Smash<\/em> due to the recent announcement of\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/crash-bandicoot-its-about-time-switch-performance\/\"><em>Crash Bandicoot 4<\/em> for the Switch,<\/a> having\u00a0Dante join <em>Smash<\/em> as\u00a0one of the hack-and-slash genre&#8217;s most iconic representatives\u00a0would make\u00a0fans everywhere happy as well. Regardless, only time will tell whether the flippant\u00a0Devil Hunter will join\u00a0<em>Super Smash Bros. Ultimate<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>Super Smash Bros.
