Season 8 of Smite<\/em><\/a> has made the game more exciting than ever and is bringing in tons of new fans to give the game a try. But seriously, who doesn’t want to play a game where people can battle with gods against the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles<\/a>? No seriously, you can actually do that and even throw in Korra as well<\/a>!<\/p>\n

Still, not every god is Cthulu<\/a>\u00a0\u2014 some gods are even stronger. Mages are important in the game and some of them have ultimates that have to be seen to be believed. Still, even here not all gods are created equal, and some are just a bit better than the rest.<\/p>\n

10 <\/span>Raijin – Taiko Drums<\/h2>\n
<\/figure>\n

Does anyone else think Raijin would be a boss at Taiko no Tatsujin<\/em><\/a>?\u00a0What makes Raiijin’s Taiko Drums such a great ultimate is its intense damage output. Especially if players can manage to land all three drum strikes there’s basically no way enemy gods will be alive at the end. Plus, there’s a cool achievement for hitting an enemy at max range with the attack!<\/p>\n

9 <\/span>Janus – Through Space And Time<\/h2>\n
<\/figure>\n

Janus’s ultimate offers some serious utility for teams that can’t be overlooked. The portals it creates can help teams ambush or retreat as necessary while the energy ball she shoots out can seriously damage enemy gods.<\/p>\n

The only big downside is that this attack can’t manage to deal more than 75% of any god’s maximum health as damage so it can’t usually be a finishing blow by itself. Still, his immunity to Crowd Control when firing it off helps balance this out a bit.<\/p>\n

8 <\/span>Ao Kuang – King of the Eastern Seas<\/h2>\n
<\/figure>\n

Ao Kuang’s ultimate is seriously powerful, but a bit complicated. This makes it hard to get the most out of the ability at times. Plus, it only hits one enemy at a time unless it manages to kill them, making it a bit more situational.<\/p>\n

If he does manage to kill an enemy God with King of the Eastern Seas, he transforms into his true form,\u00a0regenerating large portions of his health. He then lands on the ground and deals extra damage to any surrounding opponents. It’s not that it’s a bad ultimate, just a bit more situational than others.<\/p>\n

7 <\/span>Baron Samedi – Life Of The Party<\/h2>\n
<\/figure>\n

Life of the Party would almost be good alone simply due to the fact that Baron Samedi takes 35% reduced damage while it’s happening, but it gets so much better. Any enemy gods within range also are sucked into a vortex which drags them towards the coffin while dealing damage very quickly.<\/p>\n

This ultimate gets good if the enemy gets extremely close as any god getting their soul ripped out gains maximum hysteria and results in some crushing amounts of damage. Plus, enemy gods become stunned when this happens, leaving them perfect targets for teammates to pick off.<\/p>\n

6 <\/span>Isis – Circle Of Protection<\/h2>\n
<\/figure>\n

Circle of Protection being both offensive and defensive gives it a lot of utility. It can be perfect for casting into the middle of a big fight in order to keep allies protected while\u00a0making\u00a0it explode at the last second to take enemies out. It’s a solid ultimate, but having so much utility makes it deal less damage than other\u00a0ultimates available to mages.<\/p>\n

5 <\/span>Merlin – Elemental Mastery<\/h2>\n
<\/figure>\n

One of the most quirky parts of Elemental Mastery is how it has different effects depending on the element Merlin is attuned to at the time. Certain elements certainly make the ultimate stronger or weaker depending on which one is in use at the time.<\/p>\n

The long-term fire damage can be especially devastated, while the slow done from ice might not work unless enemies are running away. Since it’s hard to always predict how fights will go well in advance, this does make it a little bit more situational than other ultimates.<\/p>\n

4 <\/span>Hera – Argus The Defender<\/h2>\n
<\/figure>\n

Having someone there to defend Hera in battle is absolutely awesome. Having said person stay on the field for a whopping forty seconds is beyond marvelous. When Hera brings Argus crashing down onto the battlefield, it’s time to get down to business<\/a>.<\/p>\n

He does have a bit of a leash, only being able to go so far from Hera. Plus, the player using Hera needs to balance recalling him or sending him out to target specific enemies to get the most out of him. Still, his attacks are incredibly impressive, and even if undirected he can cause some serious havoc.<\/p>\n

3 <\/span>Kulkulkan – Spirit Of The Nine Winds<\/h2>\n
<\/figure>\n

Kulkulkan’s ultimate is very straightforward, but the Spirit of the Nine Winds doesn’t need to be complicated to be powerful. It deals extreme and consistent damage when it’s going while knocking enemies to the side in the process. It’s an amazing way to lead the charge into battle and can easily take down gods that face it unprepared. He’s an easy god to pick up<\/a> and it’s worth doing so for this ultimate.<\/p>\n

2 <\/span>Ah Puch – Empty The Crypts<\/h2>\n
<\/figure>\n

Empty the Crypts has the potential to turn entire fights around and finish off opponents who think they have retreated to safety. They have to be aimed correctly as they only move in a straight line, but once fired they go through everything. No walls can stop Ah Puch from dealing damage!<\/p>\n

That’s not even the end of what makes them good. Yes, they deal solid damage, but they also reduce healing for the opponent up to 60% which is massive. It’s much easier for teammates to pick someone off when they can’t get their health to safe levels.<\/p>\n

1 <\/span>Agni – Rain Fire<\/h2>\n
<\/figure>\n

Don’t challenge Agni to an Agni Kai<\/a>\u00a0\u2014 it’s literally in his name. Rain Fire is so good because it can put out so much damage it makes other gods blush. Each meteor that falls is devastating, and they have the potential to do damage up to 210% of Agni’s Magical Power which is just plain astronomical. No god can survive being hit by all three meters. None of them. Period.<\/p>\n
