However, people also have the opportunity to gain almost any Warframe for free \u2013 provided they have the patience to get their crafting materials. For players who want to dedicate time for a new Warframe, what exactly is their best option? Which Warframe should they avoid in the meantime?<\/p>\n

10 <\/span>Best: Nova<\/h2>\n
<\/figure>\n

Nova unleashes the power of antimatter to devastate enemies that threaten her and her allies. Her Passive counters any knockdowns on her with another neat knockdown, while her Worm Hole (S3) gives her a handy warp portal. Nova possesses damage dealers via Null Star (S1) that unleashes seeker missiles and Antimatter Drop (S2) which is a collision AOE. Her Molecular Prime (Ult) primes enemies within radius with antimatter.<\/p>\n

Given her abilities, Nova perhaps serves as the best example of a lightweight but devastating Mage class in\u00a0Warframe.<\/em>\u00a0All her skills provide her with decent single-target and AOE damage. Despite her\u00a0glass cannon nature<\/a>, Nova actively encourages playing with elemental damage and even understanding how to boost the potency of her abilities with the right modding.<\/p>\n

9 <\/span>Worst: Banshee<\/h2>\n

Banshee unleashes sound to torment her enemies. Her Passive treats all guns and Sentinel weapons as silent. Banshee’s main attacks lie in Sonic Book (S1) and Sound Quake (S2), both of which hit enemies from a considerable distance. Her Sonar (S2) tracks enemies and reveals weak points, while Silence (S3) can stun enemies and hinder their movement. All in all, Banshee seems like a Rogue-type class Frame with\u00a0a bit of Mage mixed in<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Sadly, a lot of players might ask why even try Banshee when Nova exists, and that’s where the problem lies. For instance, Banshee’s S1 doesn’t work well as CC, and S2 takes time to optimize for battle. Meanwhile, S3 requires players to use more calculated hits, while her Ult poses an unmodified scaling problem.<\/p>\n

8 <\/span>Best: Mesa<\/h2>\n
<\/figure>\n

Mesa stuns enemies with her bullets and sense of style. Despite Mesa coming with a handicap of having no melee weapon slot, she compensates with a decent health boost. Moreover, her Passive gives her a remarkable boost in ranged weapon proficiency. Mesa’s Ballistic Battery (S1) empowers her shots, while Peacemaker (Ult) transforms her shooting into a machine gun’s. She even comes with decent utilities\u00a0such as\u00a0Shooting Gallery (S2)\u00a0that serves as a buff and enemy stagger and Shatter Shield (S3) that gives her a shield.<\/p>\n

Mesa demonstrates a Warframe’s potential in terms of ranged capabilities. Her kit exclusively boosts the potency of her firearms,\u00a0encouraging players to maximize their weapon combinations<\/a>. And considering most\u00a0Warframe\u00a0<\/em>enemies wield guns, Mesa boasts the capability of doing quick clears. There’s no need for Mesa to have any CC abilities if she can kill enemies fast enough.<\/p>\n

7 <\/span>Worst: Nekros<\/h2>\n
<\/figure>\n

As with his namesake, Nekros\u00a0taps into both the powers of the living and the dead<\/a>\u00a0to empower himself and his allies. His Passive heals him and his Companions whenever enemies die in close proximity. Meanwhile, his primary damaging ability is Soul Punch (S1), which damages everything in its path. His Terrify (S2) is a decent CC that scares his opponents, while Desecrate (S3) forces the dead to drop more loot. Lastly, Shadows of the Dead (Ult) transforms killed enemies into minions.<\/p>\n

Sadly, Nekros’s strength perhaps also serves as his greatest weakness. Granted, Nekros and his S3 make for a mean farming machine. However, his other abilities seem to be dismal. Without the augment, his S1 seems weak. Moreover, Frames such as Nyx do possess better versions of Nekros’s S2. Lastly, his Ultimate endows him with better defenses thanks to minions, but again performs poorly compared to other Frames.<\/p>\n

6 <\/span>Best: Trinity<\/h2>\n
<\/figure>\n

Trinity is as straightforward as she can get \u2013 she’s a support Frame. Trinity’s Passive allows her to revive teammates much faster. Meanwhile, she boasts a unique “attack” in the form of Link (S3) that dissipates damage taken to nearby enemies. Trinity’s Well of Life (S1) grants lifesteal for allies against the targeted foe, while Energy Vampire (S2) does the same for energy. Lastly, her Blessing (Ult) not only heals the party’s HP and Shields but also grants some damage resistance.<\/p>\n

Thanks to Trinity’s accessible kit, she easily boasts\u00a0some of the most efficient defensive abilities<\/a>\u00a0out there.\u00a0After all, Trinity’s skills do help her replenish ally resources and even disperse enemy attacks back to their sources. While other Frames may boast better support skills, Trinity’s perfect for anyone who wants a healer role.<\/p>\n

5 <\/span>Worst:\u00a0Zephyr<\/h2>\n
<\/figure>\n

Zephyr boasts of her skill as an airborne Frame, and her Passive reflects her improved aerodynamics. Tail Wind (S1) launches Zephyr into a permanent hover, while Airburst (S2) sends enemies flying with an attack. Her Turbulence (S3) acts as a decent shield that scatters projectiles, while Tornado (Ult) engulfs and deals damage to enemies in its AOE.<\/p>\n

A\u00a0lot of players consider Zephyr’s other abilities as sub-optimal. Granted, she can fly using\u00a0S1, but the existence of Archwings makes this ability useless. Moreover, other Frames seem to outclass her in terms of other qualities. For instance, Wukong fares better in terms of handling, Hildryn has better hover coverage, and Titania boasts better speed.<\/p>\n

4 <\/span>Best: Volt<\/h2>\n
<\/figure>\n

Sparky Volt has more to boast than his\u00a0affinity with lightning<\/a>. His Passive gives him a constant Electricity Damage boost, perfect for his abilities. His Shock (S1) hits and stuns opponents, while Speed (S2) gives Volt a decent mobility boost. Meanwhile, his Electric Shield (S3) gives him another shield source, while Discharge (Ult) stuns every opponent approaching him.<\/p>\n

Volt boasts incredible versatility that makes him reliable even in the endgame. His flexible kit allows players to provide cover to allies, damage multiple enemies at once, and use his other skills to “flow” seamlessly with both his ranged and melee abilities.<\/p>\n

3 <\/span>Worst: Nyx<\/h2>\n
<\/figure>\n

At her core, Nyx’s psychic potential allows her to disorient her enemies. Even her Passive decreases her enemy’s accuracy. Nyx’s Mind Control (S1) “converts” enemies into allies, while Chaos (S3) practically causes all enemies to fight each other. Psychic Bolts (S1) is a simple ranged attack. Meanwhile, Absorb (Ult) lets Nyx absorb incoming attacks to launch a full-blown counterattack.<\/p>\n

Sadly, Nyx’s minions do function as distractions at best due to their abysmal damage.\u00a0While Nyx’s\u00a0tanking potential and armor-stripping help her stand her ground, other Frames outclass her in some areas. For instance, Revenant’s thralls seem more powerful, Wukong possesses a more potent absorb, and Loki already boasts his signature area-wide disable.<\/p>\n

2 <\/span>Best: Limbo<\/h2>\n
<\/figure>\n

As his name suggests, Limbo traverses the paths between realms. His Passive introduces the Rift Plane, an entirely new mechanic that capitalizes on\u00a0Warframe<\/em>‘s psychics. Banish (S1) lets enemies experience the wrath of the Rift. Meanwhile, Stasis (S2) stuns Banished opponents, while Rift Surge (S3) attacks them. Lastly, Cataclysm (Ult) summons a miniature black hole of sorts to mangle through enemies.<\/p>\n

There’s no need to mention Limbo’s fame thanks to his space-themed kit. All of Limbo’s abilities boast decent damage, all of which can be turned\u00a0devastating with the right combos<\/a>. Limbo can easily phase out enemies, stop projectiles, and even create miniature black holes.<\/p>\n

1 <\/span>Worst: Hydroid<\/h2>\n
<\/figure>\n

Hyroid literally unleashes the kraken, courtesy of his water-themed attacks. His Passive allows him to proc a Tentacle whenever he does a melee slam, giving him a stationary companion. Tempest Barrage (S1) and Tidal Surge (S2) both add a water component to strong AOEs. Meanwhile, Undertow (S3) gives him a stealth-like ability, and Tentacle Swarm (Ult) essentially gives\u00a0Warframe\u00a0<\/em>fans the perfect Rule 34 Material.<\/p>\n

Sadly, despite his thematic appeal, Hydroid doesn’t boast a lot of beneficial abilities. For instance, his major attack in S2 doesn’t deal a lot of damage, while his Ult doesn’t give a lot of opportunities for CC. Additionally, his Passive doesn’t seem that useful, making him a risk element in high-intensity missions.<\/p>\n
