Cyberpunk 2077<\/a><\/em> doesn’t only introduce brand-new characters, but it also does a fine job at paying respect to the original RPG. In fact, fans of the original game will be happy to find out that CD Projekt Red prepared a ton of fan service within just the main plot, which introduces central characters like Johnny Silverhand and Rogue.<\/p>\n

Rogue Amendiares in particular is a character that will be introduced fairly early on in Act 1, before V gets to actually interact with her in Act 2. As a top fixer of Night City, it’s not easy to get a word with her, as she demands a 15,000 eddie payment upfront<\/a>. That being said, her fee is definitely right so long as you know just how powerful and vital she has been to the development of the merc and solo scene in Night City.<\/p>\n

10 <\/span>Her Car Is Unique<\/h2>\n
<\/figure>\n

Rogue’s car is a pretty impressive thing. It’s unfortunate players don’t get to actually have their hands on it personally, but there’s one scene in particular during which V will get to drive it. The car is a Quadra Type-66, called Mistral.<\/p>\n

It’s definitely one of the finest cars in the game<\/a>, both on the outside and on the inside. As a fast ride, it could be compared to some of the turbocars found within the game. The best detail has to be her license plate, however, which spells out her name, and may be a subtle nod to the Star Wars<\/em><\/a> film of the same name.<\/p>\n

9 <\/span>She Has More Power Than Most Fixers<\/h2>\n

Rogue is first introduced by Jackie Welles<\/a> as a fixer, a legend of sorts in Night City. She’s been around for ages and knows the city like her own pockets. Rogue isn’t the only fixer in Night City, granted, but she’s absolutely the one fixer that matters when it comes to important gigs.<\/p>\n

While most gigs are given by fixers who rule over a specific district of Night City, Rogue has a limited bunch of gigs that are scattered a bit everywhere. It seems that unlike most fixers, she has power over the entire city and can operate anywhere and with anyone.<\/p>\n

8 <\/span>She Has A Son<\/h2>\n
<\/figure>\n

Not much is known about Rogue’s past, but there’s a small revelation, during Act 3<\/a>, if the player chose to ask Rogue and Johnny for help with Arasaka. During the quest “For Whom The Bell Tolls,” Rogue will reveal through one of the dialogue options that she has a son.<\/p>\n

As of now, it’s unclear who the son could be and who the father is. Some theories suggest that this could be Trace Santiago, son of Santiago Aldecaldo, but it’s impossible to know for sure. It could be that this part of her background was never even fully elaborated on by the developers.<\/p>\n

7 <\/span>Her Voice Actress Is Jane Perry<\/h2>\n
<\/figure>\n

If Rogue’s voice sounds familiar to players, that’s because it’s surprisingly that of a few other major video game characters. Jane Perry is the one to have given her voice to Rogue, but she’s also well-known for other roles in major franchises.<\/p>\n

Some fans may have even recognized her voice as that of Diana Burwood from the Hitman<\/em><\/a> franchise. She also appeared in Alien: Isolation<\/em><\/a> by giving her voice to Diane Verlaine, the captain of the Torrens.<\/p>\n

6 <\/span>Her Closest Partner Was An Aldecaldo<\/h2>\n
<\/figure>\n

Rogue’s past is one of the greatest mysteries fans will have to deal with, but based on some of the flashbacks witnessed through Johnny’s perspective, it’s evident that Rogue was once close to a man known as Santiago. He was also a mercenary during Rogue’s youth.<\/p>\n

Santiago is actually an Aldecaldo<\/a>, and there was a time in his life when he rejected his clan’s ideals and beliefs in favor of having a life in Night City. However, he eventually returned to his people and recognized the importance of his family, as well as the nomad life<\/a>.<\/p>\n

5 <\/span>She Didn’t Always Operate From Afterlife<\/h2>\n
<\/figure>\n

As players are dropped into the heart of Night City in Act 1, it’s obvious that the Afterlife is the place to be. In a dialogue with Claire Russell<\/a>, it’s even revealed that the Afterlife has been around for ages and is one of the oldest clubs in the city that still continues to operate.<\/p>\n

However, the Afterlife wasn’t always the hotspot for mercenaries and fixers. Once upon a time, a place called The Atlantis housed the majority of Night City’s up and coming solos and fixers. It’s also primarily where Rogue used to operate, as seen in one of Johnny’s memories.<\/p>\n

4 <\/span>She Retired After The Fourth Corporate War<\/h2>\n
<\/figure>\n

Most of Rogue’s career was spent doing field work, the very same kind of stuff that V is responsible for during the events of the game. For Rogue, however, it’s been a long time since she has been on the field, despite still being capable at her job.<\/p>\n

After the Fourth Corporate War which pitted Militech against Arasaka in a bitter rivalry and saw the attack on Arasaka Tower by Johnny and Rogue, she actually decided to retire to the position of a fixer, rather than keep on doing field work. No doubt watching Johnny die by the hands of Adam Smasher was enough to inspire her.<\/p>\n

3 <\/span>The Drive-In Theater Is Important To Her<\/h2>\n
<\/figure>\n

Some fans might be confused as to why Johnny decides to take Rogue to a drive-in theater that’s been long since abandoned outside of Night City. During Blistering Love, Johnny insists on taking Rogue out for a final date, but for those who aren’t familiar with the original lore, this might seem like a weird choice.<\/p>\n

Back in the day, when Rogue was first dating Johnny and still worked as a talented mercenary, she would often beg Johnny to take her to this very drive-in theater. However, Johnny, being the wild rocker boy he was, ignored her. The date and initiative is an attempt from Johnny to try and mend things with Rogue.<\/p>\n

2 <\/span>The Reason Why She And Johnny Broke Up<\/h2>\n
<\/figure>\n

Although Alt Cunningham is introduced as Johnny’s primary romantic interest, it’s pretty evident right off the bat that Johnny and Rogue have a bit of romantic history. The two of them did actually date back in the day, but their relationship was anything but smooth sailing.<\/p>\n

Johnny reportedly cheated in Rogue with three other women and often ignored her needs. This left Rogue bitter towards him, but to this day she still has a small soft spot for Johnny. In the end, the two of them still remained inseparable in some way, despite their break up.<\/p>\n

1 <\/span>She Used To Be A Solo<\/h2>\n
<\/figure>\n

Rogue wasn’t a born and bred fixer. She began her career in Night City much in the same way V did, by becoming a strong solo. She was known as one of the best mercenaries back in the day, along with her partner Santiago.<\/p>\n

Rogue’s legendary mercenary status is in fact so impressive and powerful that it permanently influenced the way modern mercenaries worked in Night City, including V. In essence, she founded the modern lifestyle of solos.<\/p>\n
