Players are able to participate in a variety of new challenges and experience all sorts of bonuses and special event moves available for certain Pokemon.<\/p>\n<p>One of the bigger parts of this event is the ability to take part in the Collection Challenges. Unlike other <em><a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/tag\/pokemon-go\/\">Pokemon GO<\/a><\/em> events with Collection Challenges, this event offers multiple where players will need to catch different Pokemon in multiple categories. This means that players can earn far more rewards than in any other Collection Challenge.<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"related-single\"><strong>RELATED:\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/pokemon-go-kanto-raid-day-details\/\">Pokemon GO Announced Kanto Raid Day Details<\/a><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>There is a total of ten different Collection Challenges that players will have access to with the <em>Pokemon GO<\/em> Tour: Kanto event. Players will have access to them all from the start with each challenge having its own rewards.<\/p>\n<figure><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/static1.gamerantimages.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/08\/Pokemon-TCG-Jigglypuff-Card-Art.jpg\"\/><\/figure>\n<p>The first Collection Challenge is going to be Red (Trade) or Red (Incense) depending on <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/pokemon-go-tour-kanto-bonus-tickets\/\">which Kanto tour ticket players purchased<\/a> for the event. While the listed Pokemon are the same no matter what, the method that will count toward the challenge will be different. If players have the Red Incense Ticket, they will need to catch these Pokemon while using incense. Meanwhile, if players have the\u00a0Red Trade Ticket, they will need to trade these Pokemon from another trainer for it to count. Completing this challenge will give players 1,510 Stardust, 20 Ultra Balls, and one Incense.<\/p>\n<p>The required Pokemon are:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Ekans<\/li>\n<li>Oddish<\/li>\n<li>Mankey<\/li>\n<li>Growlithe<\/li>\n<li>Scyther<\/li>\n<li>Electabuzz<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Up\u00a0next for the Collection Challenges is either going to be the Green (Trade) or Green (Incense) once again depending on which ticket was purchased. It follows the same rules as the Red Collection Challenges with players getting 1,510 Stardust, a Lucky Egg, and a Silver Pinap Berry upon completion.<\/p>\n<p>Players will need to get:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Sandshrew<\/li>\n<li>Vulpix<\/li>\n<li>Meowth<\/li>\n<li>Bellsprout<\/li>\n<li>Magmar<\/li>\n<li>Pinsir<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The next Collection Challenge is the Raid Collection Challenge. As the name implies, players will need to take down these Pokemon in raids and then successfully catch them. Doing so will\u00a0net players a Fast TM, a <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/weird-pokemon-sword-shield-glitch-sends-snorlax-flying\/\">Snorlax encounter<\/a>, and a Charged TM.<\/p>\n<p>Raid bosses that need to be defeated and caught are:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Farfetch&#8217;d<\/li>\n<li>Kangaskhan<\/li>\n<li>Mr. Mime<\/li>\n<li>Tauros<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/pokemon-sword-shield-galarian-articuno-location\/\">Articuno<\/a><\/li>\n<li>Zapdos<\/li>\n<li>Moltres<\/li>\n<li>Mewtwo<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Research task rewards will also be holding significance with the next Collection Challenge being the Research Collection Challenge. Players that catch all of the Pokemon listed will get 1,510 XP, a Ditto encounter, and a Silver Pinap Berry.<\/p>\n<p>The Pokemon needed for this challenge are:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Cubone<\/li>\n<li>Lickitung<\/li>\n<li>Chansey<\/li>\n<li>Tangela<\/li>\n<li>Lapras<\/li>\n<li>Ditto<\/li>\n<li>Aerodactyl<\/li>\n<li>Snorlax<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<figure><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/static3.gamerantimages.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/09\/Pokemon-TCG-Lapras-Header.jpg\"\/><\/figure>\n<p>Up next is possibly the most difficult Collection Challenge for this event: the Evolve Collection Challenge. In order to complete this, players must evolve Pokemon until they manage to collect all 72 evolutions from the Kanto region. This challenge, however, will give persistent players 15,100 XP, three Star Pieces, and three Rare Candies.<\/p>\n<p>The rest of the Collection Challenges all require players to catch the specific Pokemon spawns available during the different themed hours of the event.
