The director then teamed up with Warner Bros. to kick-start the DCEU. He made\u00a0<em>Man of Steel<\/em>\u00a0and\u00a0<em><a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/batman-v-superman-dark-justice-league\/\">Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice<\/a>,\u00a0<\/em>and notably walked away from<em>\u00a0Justice League <\/em>mid-production to be with his family. Unlike the MCU, Snyder\u2019s films were dark and had little-to-no humor in them.<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"related-single\"><strong>RELATED: <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/zack-snyder-justice-league-joker-meme\/\">Zack Snyder\u2019s Justice League: Why The Joker Meme Is Actually Very Important<\/a><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>YouTuber &#8220;Gugga Leunnam\u201d perfectly mined the look and feel of a typical Snyder film in\u00a0a video titled \u201cZack Snyder&#8217;s Avengers,\u201d using monochromatic and muted tones. The edit features the same dramatic score featured <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/zack-snyder-justice-league-trailer\/\">in the\u00a0<em>Justice League<\/em>\u00a0trailer<\/a> and action sequences from the latest MCU films. It provides a perfect glimpse of what a Snyder version of the <em>Avengers\u00a0<\/em>would look like, which probably would not have been as colorful as the real Marvel Studios version, considering the filmmaker&#8217;s common style.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"200\" height=\"150\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/KMc_SnM339g?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>Snyder has <a href=\"https:\/\/screenrant.com\/zack-snyder-join-marvel-elektra-lives-again-movie\/\"  rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">candidly spoken about Marvel<\/a> in the past. Last summer, he told TheFilmJunkee that he thinks MCU\u2019s single continuity format will never work in the DCEU. &#8220;I think that Marvel, they&#8217;ve built [their universe] over a long period of time, so by the time they got to their later movies, everything had kinda locked in, and it was all sort of moving in the same direction,\u201d said Snyder. \u201cBut that was just never going to happen [with DC] because the DC TV shows were so popular and because their animated shows were so popular.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>The filmmaker recently stated Warner Bros. \u201cno interest or appetite\u201d in his <em>Justice League 2<\/em> and doesn\u2019t plan on making more DC films after the Snyder Cut,\u00a0though the black and white version of his\u00a0<em>Justice League, <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/justice-league-black-white-edition-zack-snyder\/\">Justice Is Gray,<\/a>\u00a0<\/em>is going to be released.<em>\u00a0<\/em>This came after DC Films president Walter Hamada confirmed that Snyder wasn\u2019t part of the franchise\u2019s future.\u00a0Warner Bros. has invested over $70 million to let Snyder finish his version of\u00a0<em>Justice League<\/em><em>.\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, the MCU continues with many of its main <em>Avengers<\/em> characters, including Iron Man and Captain America, having retired or died after <em>Endgame<\/em>.
