But the lack of news at the most recent Nintendo Direct worried some fans, but it looks like\u00a0The Pokemon Company has plans to make announcements on\u00a0<em>Pokemon<\/em>&#8216;s 25th birthday.<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"related-single\"><strong>RELATED:\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/gamestop-pokemon-diamond-pearl-rumor\/\">Rumor: New GameStop Listings May Be for Upcoming Pokemon Games<\/a><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>Earlier today, the official\u00a0<em>Pokemon\u00a0<\/em>Twitter announced that &#8220;Turtwig, Chimchar and Piplup are preparing for\u00a0#Pokemon Day.&#8221; These three\u00a0Pokemon are the starter Pokemon for\u00a0<em>Diamond\u00a0<\/em>and\u00a0<em>Pearl<\/em>, which veteran fans are certainly already aware of. But the\u00a0<em>Pokemon\u00a0<\/em>Twitter account also specifically calls out the Sinnoh region in the tweet. This heavily indicates that <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/pokemon-diamond-and-pearl-remake-rumors\/\">news regarding <em>Diamond\u00a0<\/em>and\u00a0<em>Pearl\u00a0<\/em>remakes<\/a> are coming on\u00a0<em>Pokemon<\/em>&#8216;s 25th anniversary on February 27.\u00a0However,\u00a0it&#8217;s possible that these remakes are coming in a way fans weren&#8217;t anticipating.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"320\" height=\"320\" frameborder=\"0\" src=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/Pokemon\/status\/1364281137246437387\" frameborder=\"0\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>Looking at the tweet&#8217;s specific wording, &#8220;Let&#8217;s go, Sinnoh!&#8221; it&#8217;s possible that this is a hint that the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/established-pokemon-leaker-denies-diamond-pearl-lets-go-remake-rumors\/\"><em>Diamond\u00a0<\/em>and\u00a0<em>Pearl\u00a0<\/em>remakes will be in the same style as the\u00a0<\/a><em><a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/established-pokemon-leaker-denies-diamond-pearl-lets-go-remake-rumors\/\">Let&#8217;s Go<\/a>, Pikachu!\u00a0<\/em>and\u00a0<em>Let&#8217;s Go, Eevee!\u00a0<\/em>games. Players still battle other Pokemon Trainers and Gym Leaders, but when facing wild Pokemon, players pacify them to catch them rather than widdling down their health.<\/p>\n<p>Based on Twitter&#8217;s reaction, most players don&#8217;t seem excited about this possible change-up. Most\u00a0Pokefans have been expecting\u00a0<em>Diamond\u00a0<\/em>and\u00a0<em>Pearl\u00a0<\/em>remakes in the familiar, traditional format that\u00a0<em>Pokemon\u00a0<\/em>was founded upon. Inspired by\u00a0the mobile spin-off\u00a0<em>Pokemon GO<\/em>, the\u00a0<em>Let&#8217;s Go\u00a0<\/em>games are great for kids or anyone new to the franchise, so if speculation is correct that\u00a0<em>Diamond\u00a0<\/em>and\u00a0<em>Pearl\u00a0<\/em>will be <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/pokemon-25th-anniversary-let-go-johto-gold-silver\/\">the next\u00a0<em>Let&#8217;s Go\u00a0<\/em>pair<\/a>, it would be disappointing to many older and veteran fans out there.<\/p>\n<p>Online personality Shinobi602 was one of the many who voiced his <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/pokemon-diamond-pearl-remake-rumor-lets-go-change\/\">dismay for a hint in the\u00a0<em>Let&#8217;s Go\u00a0<\/em>direction<\/a>. Other\u00a0<em>Pokemon\u00a0<\/em>fans are threatening to &#8220;quit\u00a0<em>Pokemon<\/em>&#8221; if this is true, saying that it&#8217;ll likely ruin the fourth generation.
