Previously, they were cast as Marty and Doc Brown in a <a href=\"https:\/\/screenrant.com\/tom-holland-back-future-reboot-deepfake-teaser-trailer\/\">re-imaging of\u00a0<em>Back to the Future<\/em><\/a>.\u00a0The <em>Spider-Man<\/em> star\u00a0took notice of the video and shared his reaction during a BBC Radio 1 interview. He said he was \u201ca little offended\u201d initially and even considered notifying his lawyer\u00a0to pursue legal action against the YouTuber. But after some thought,\u00a0Holland found the fun in it and realized that it was a \u201cgreat\u201d video. \u201cI think I\u2019m going to speak to Robert and see if we can create something for Deepfake,\u201d he\u00a0said.<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"related-single\"><strong>RELATED:<\/strong>\u00a0<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/zack-snyder-avengers-fan-trailer\/\">Fan Trailer Asks &#8216;What If Zack Snyder Directed The Avengers?&#8217;<\/a><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>This clip, entitled \u201cThe Avengers of Oz<em>\u201d,\u00a0<\/em>has amassed over 2.5 million views on YouTube. It features the original audio from <em>The Wizard of Oz<\/em>\u00a0with brief <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/stan-lee-video-game-cameos-easter-eggs-spider-man\/\">appearances from Stan Lee<\/a> and Thanos. The titular stars from <em>Thor<\/em>, <em>Iron Man<\/em>, <em>Guardians of the Galaxy,\u00a0<\/em>and <em>Spider-Man\u00a0<\/em>are seen making their way down the Yellow Brick Road toward the Emerald City. The last time audiences saw the four Avengers together was in\u00a0<em>Avengers: Infinity War<\/em>. While Downey Jr. has confirmed he\u2019s done with the MCU, Hemsworth, Pratt, and Holland are filming the sequels to their respective superhero franchises.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"200\" height=\"113\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/R43dwcplFO4?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>At just 17, Judy Garland starred as Dorothy in\u00a0Victor Fleming\u2019s iconic film adaption of\u00a0L. Frank Baum&#8217;s novel\u00a0<em>The Wonderful Wizard of Oz<\/em>, originally published in 1900<em>.\u00a0<\/em>The film received six Oscar nominations, winning for Best Original Song and Score. Over the past century, <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/return-to-oz-is-terrifying\/\">unsuccessful versions of the <em>Wizard of Oz<\/em><\/a>\u00a0have been made for screen, stage, and television. The most recent was Disney&#8217;s <em>Oz the Great and Powerful<\/em>, which was released in 2013, and was set 20 years before the 1939 classic.<\/p>\n<p>Despite this, a new <em>Wizard of Oz<\/em> is in the works at New Line Cinema. Nicole Kassell, who served as an executive producer of the <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/hbo-watchmen-makes-history-emmy-win\/\">critically acclaimed HBO series\u00a0<em>Watchmen,<\/em><\/a>\u00a0is tapped to direct. The upcoming version is reportedly not a musical and will offer a fresh take on Baum\u2019s novel. Kassell stated that she\u2019s \u201cexhilarated\u201d and \u201chumbled\u201d by the opportunity to re-imagine the legendary tale.<\/p>\n<p>New Line&#8217;s parent company, <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/warner-bros-aaa-free-game\/\">Warner Bros. Pictures<\/a>, owns the rights to the iconic 1939 film. Unlike previous adaptations, Kassell\u2019s film will have the ability to draw on elements from the original, such as Dorothy\u2019s ruby red slippers.
