Destiny 2<\/strong><\/em> players can unlock a new emblem for completing the Presage exotic mission on master difficulty flawlessly. \u201cThe Next Chapter\u201d emblem bears the cattle skull logo of the Tex Mechanica weapon foundry, the manufacturers of The Last Word hand cannon, and Dead Man’s Tale scout rifle.<\/p>\n

The requirements for getting this emblem are straightforward but difficult to execute. Destiny<\/em><\/a> players will need to complete the quest mission for the new exotic scout rifle on its hardest difficulty without dying. Completing this mission, regardless of if players die or not, will also unlock the new catalyst for Dead Man\u2019s Tale<\/a>, which massively improves its hip-firing capabilities.<\/p>\n

Obviously,\u00a0Destiny 2<\/em>\u00a0players need to\u00a0start the exotic quest<\/a>\u00a0and complete the Presage mission to unlock Dead Man\u2019s Tale and access the master difficulty mission.<\/p>\n

Before going into the mission, it is advisable that players gather a fireteam to help them through their run as this mission is not easy. First of all, the recommended power level is 1320, which is 10 levels above Season of the Chosen\u2019s pinnacle power cap<\/a> so enemies will be significantly tougher than usual, depending on a player\u2019s power level.<\/p>\n

While it is the same as the normal difficulty Presage mission, the master variant has some extra modifiers and a 25-minute time limit to make things harder. Because of the time limit, it would be worthwhile for inexperienced players to run the Presage mission on its normal difficulty several times to learn all the platforming<\/a> and puzzle sections throughout the mission. Being able to speedrun all the puzzles will give fireteams plenty of time to defeat the final boss.<\/p>\n

The active modifiers are locked equipment, match game, and chaff. Equipment locking means that players can make no changes to their gear loadouts once they have started the mission. Players, therefore, need to make sure they have everything ready before getting started.<\/p>\n

Match game causes Guardians to do significantly less damage to enemy shields unless they match their elemental weapon or subclass damage type to the type of the shield. For example, Void weapons and abilities are most effective against purple Void shields, and the same applies to Arc and Solar. Players should ensure that they have a mix of elemental damage types in their loadouts. Having teammates will also help players fill in any elemental gaps.<\/p>\n

Finally, chaff removes the radar scanner for players. This is especially annoying as there are lots of Screeb enemies in Presage that can sometimes sneak up on players and explode. Players should always keep an eye out for enemies, watch each other\u2019s backs, and never sprint into a room without cautiously scouting first.<\/p>\n

A Champion modifier is also active, but since the Presage mission features only Scorn enemies and there is no such thing as Scorn Champions in Destiny 2<\/em>, there are in fact no Champions to worry about. It is unclear if this will be changed later, but for the time being, players will not need to worry about equipping any anti-barrier, overload, or unstoppable mods<\/a>.<\/p>\n

With these tips in mind, players simply need to complete the entire mission without dying within 25 minutes. After defeating the final boss and navigating to the end, players will be rewarded with the Next Chapter emblem, which can be equipped with seasonal trackers for Presage mission completions and other statistics. It is worth noting that if a fireteam member dies during the mission, the emblem can still be earned by the other players, provided they do not die.<\/p>\n
