The developer just released a new trailer announcing Season 3 of the <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/hyper-scape-review\/\">free-to-play battle royal FPS<\/a>. The two-minute trailer debuted Thursday and teased big shake-ups in the world of <em><a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/tag\/hyper-scape\/\">Hyper Scape<\/a><\/em>. Whether or not it is enough to reignite gamers\u2019 interest is another matter entirely.<\/p>\n<p>The trailer opens with masked player character Basilisk ascending a crystalline tower promising it will give up its secrets. The next shot shows the playable character and in-universe reporter Nahari reporting on the structure\u2019s appearance. During her report, the game\u2019s new Crown Rush season begins, but the match is interrupted when corporate goons drag off one of the players. The final scene returns to Basilisk as an ominous voice promises him power and glory in exchange for recovering its \u201clost shards.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"related-single\"><strong>RELATED:\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/apex-legends-caustic-town-takeover-teaser-emerges\/\">Apex Legends Caustic Town Takeover Teaser Emerges<\/a><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>The trailer showed off a few new items players will have access to. This included a shield and a new weapon that looks like it deals some pretty heavy area of effect damage. Nahari also mentioned the mysterious emergence of new hacks, special abilities that players can activate to control the battlefield. Unfortunately, the trailer didn\u2019t offer much of a look at any hack in particular. Meanwhile, the \u201chacked\u201d version of Basilisk looks like it could be a new skin, and the collecting shards\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/hyper-scape-season-2-weapons-modes\/\">may point to new game modes<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"200\" height=\"113\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/hX0LbLiYszM?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p><em>Hyper Scape<\/em> takes place in 2054 in Neo-Arcadia, a virtual world similar to the setting of<em> Ready Player One<\/em>. The game\u2019s unique feature is Ubisoft\u2019s attempt to intergrade streaming into the outcome of matches. The game\u2019s AI can modify the game world, such as changing gravity or giving players infinite ammo.
