Marvel Studios’ WandaVision<\/em> <\/strong><\/a>will go down as Disney\u2019s first attempt to import the MCU from movie theaters to television and considering the kind of toll the pandemic has taken on the film industry, it couldn\u2019t have come at a better time. Yet, considering the widespread success WandaVision<\/em> has claimed in just over a month, a future comeback is not out of the question.<\/p>\n

As fans of WandaVision<\/em> get ready for episode 8, potentially\u00a0the longest in the miniseries<\/a> so far, this comes with the realization that the homages to classic sitcoms that defined the structure of the first seven episodes\u00a0are quite hard to repeat, especially when considering the inner workings and future Marvel content. Part of that involves plans for Wanda Maximoff, which\u00a0fans hope would include a stretch into Spider-Man: No Way Home<\/em>.<\/p>\n

Of course, for all things Marvel there\u2019s only really one person whose word can vanish and revive superheroes at his own will, and that\u2019s Kevin Feige. The Marvel Studios president<\/a> recently told The Independent that the studio hopes there’s room for season two and three of WandaVision.<\/em>\u00a0However, at this stage, Feige is not ready to commit to any future projects that carry that same title.<\/p>\n

In his own words, Feige said that he\u2019s \u201cbeen at Marvel too long to say a definite yes or a definite no to anything\u201d\u00a0and still limited anything official regarding Scarlet Witch’s future\u00a0to confirmation that Elizabeth Olsen will go straight from WandaVision<\/em> over to Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness<\/em><\/a>. Regardless of current info, any plans are subject to the kind of fate that awaits WandaVision<\/em>\u2019s characters over the next couple of episodes.<\/p>\n

A lot can happen in two episodes, which will likely add up in runtime to about a film\u2019s worth of MCU content. Plus, with\u00a0Paul Bettany teasing a major character reveal<\/a> before the finale or Monica Rambeau\u2019s potential origin story as Photon all waiting on the sidelines, it\u2019s definitely way too early to think of future seasons that would likely arrive\u00a0a couple of years away from now, at least.<\/p>\n

The miniseries format seems perfect for the kind of story WandaVision<\/em> hopes to deliver as it lends itself better to developing stories in a similar way to comic books. It\u2019s at least good enough for Tom Holland to be addicted to WandaVision<\/em><\/a>, so let\u2019s hope the Scarlet Witch joins Spider-Man somewhere in the future.<\/p>\n
