The\u00a0<em>Pokemon Diamond and Pearl<\/em> Switch remakes lend credibility to the people that leaked their existence ahead of time, with one recent leak in particular given quite a bit of credibility thanks to that announcement along with another recent Nintendo reveal.<\/p>\n<p>Twitter user PH Brazil, who has accurately leaked Nintendo news in the past, ended 2020 with a tweet showing images of five Nintendo franchises, hinting that they would be represented in 2021. So far, two of the five have been confirmed, with\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/splatoon-3-announced-gameplay\/\"><em>Splatoon 3<\/em> announced at the recent Nintendo Direct<\/a> for a 2022 release, and the\u00a0<em>Pokemon Diamond<\/em> and\u00a0<em>Pearl<\/em> remakes coming in late 2021. The other three games have yet to be shown, but\u00a0<em>The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild 2<\/em> news is confirmed to be coming later this year.<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"related-single\"><strong>RELATED: <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/new-pokemon-snap-confirms-mythical-pokemon-celebi\/\">New Pokemon Snap Confirms Mythical Pokemon Celebi<\/a><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>If one counts the confirmation the <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/breath-of-the-wild-2-news-updates-nintendo-direct-trailer-when\/\">more\u00a0<em>Breath of the Wild 2<\/em> news is coming in 2021<\/a>, then technically PH Brazil&#8217;s prediction is three for five, which lends serious credibility to the rest of the leak. The only two franchises from the PH Brazil that have yet to be represented at all in 2021 is\u00a0<em>Metroid<\/em> and\u00a0<em>Fire Emblem<\/em>, but there&#8217;s still 10 months left of 2021 where games in the franchise could be shown.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"320\" height=\"320\" frameborder=\"0\" src=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/phluttilippe\/status\/1344793959500025859\" frameborder=\"0\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>As far as\u00a0<em>Metroid<\/em> goes, there are numerous possibilities. Perhaps the rumored\u00a0<em>Metroid: Samus Returns<\/em> Switch port will be announced at some point this year. Alternatively, maybe the previously leaked\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/metroid-prime-trilogy-switch-release-date-leak\/\"><em>Metroid Prime Trilogy<\/em> Switch port<\/a> will be revealed instead. And while it&#8217;s a long shot, it&#8217;s also possible that Retro Studios will show\u00a0<em>Metroid Prime 4<\/em>, though that game is still believed to be relatively early in development since work on it was rebooted.<\/p>\n<p><em>Fire Emblem<\/em> could be just about anything. It seems a little early for a full-fledged, brand new\u00a0<em>Fire Emblem<\/em> game, but maybe Nintendo is going to bring a classic\u00a0<em>Fire Emblem<\/em> to the Switch. There were numerous\u00a0<em>Fire Emblem<\/em> games on the 3DS that would be good fits for the Switch, or maybe Nintendo could be <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/fire-emblem-shadow-dragon-blade-light-lighting-problem-switch\/\">remastering older\u00a0<em>Fire Emblem<\/em> games<\/a> for its handheld\/home console hybrid.<\/p>\n<p>Whatever the case may be, with a <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/nintendo-direct-missing-games-metroid-zelda-pokemon-smt3-smt5-bayonetta\/\">Nintendo Direct just recently taking place<\/a>, fans should expect any news about Nintendo franchises for some time to come.
