Marvel Studios has been on an absolute roll this year. With the smashing success of its Disney Plus series\u00a0WandaVision <\/em>and\u00a0a packed 2021 line-up of highly-anticipated film and television releases, it doesn’t look like the studio will be slowing down any time soon. In fact, their success has been so\u00a0tremendous lately that the projects they still have in development are already being\u00a0projected for multiple-season runs, including Ms. Marvel<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n

Kevin Feige, the president of Marvel Studios, was on the set of\u00a0Ms. Marvel\u00a0<\/em>when he\u00a0addressed the idea of second seasons\u00a0to the\u00a0Television Critics Association. He began with\u00a0WandaVision<\/em>, stating that there’s a chance it could still go on to a second season even though the limited series was always intended as a segue into the Doctor Strange<\/em> sequel<\/a>. He said the same for\u00a0Ms. Marvel<\/em>,\u00a0saying that a second season is possible after\u00a0the titular heroine\u00a0crosses over into the\u00a0Captain Marvel\u00a0<\/em>sequel.<\/p>\n

Additionally, She-Hulk<\/em>\u00a0and\u00a0Moon Knight<\/em>, which star\u00a0Tatiana Maslany as Jennifer Walters<\/a> and Ethan Hawke respectively, are currently being developed with a structure that could allow for multiple seasons.\u00a0Feige says that any follow-ups to these shows will ultimately depend on how each story plays out, as well as whether or not there is a demand to see those tales continue. “We are developing all of these shows the way we’re developing our movies,” says Feige. “In other words, when we start with a movie, we hope there\u2019s a part two, we hope there\u2019s a part three.”<\/p>\n

Disney’s recent acquisitions of Marvel properties also opens up a plethora of opportunities for MCU crossovers. Aside from the Disney\/Fox merger, which brought home the\u00a0X-Men<\/em> and\u00a0Fantastic Four\u00a0<\/em>franchises, the company has also managed to reobtain the rights to\u00a0The Defenders<\/em> from Netflix<\/a>, which will allow them to use characters such as Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, The Punisher, and Iron Fist.<\/p>\n

In fact, they may have already done so\u2014one of the most buzzed-about theories at the moment is that Matt Murdock\/Daredevil could appear in Spider-Man: No Way Home<\/em><\/a>\u00a0alongside Tom Holland’s Peter Parker. The next Spider-Man<\/em> film, which releases in theatres this Christmas, is expected to continue the\u00a0multiverse storylines dominating each of Marvel’s latest projects, meaning MCU crossovers such as this one are more than feasible.<\/p>\n

Actress\u00a0Iman Vellani, who portrays the titular heroine of Ms. Marvel<\/em>, is not the only newcomer to the MCU who will be leaping from television to the big screen.\u00a0Teyonah Parris, who made her first appearance as Monica Rambeau in WandaVision<\/em>, will join\u00a0Vellani opposite Brie Larson in director Nia DaCosta’s Captain Marvel 2<\/em> <\/a>as well.<\/p>\n

Ms. Marvel<\/strong>, She-Hulk<\/strong><\/em>, and\u00a0Moon Knight<\/em><\/strong> are all currently in the works at Marvel Studios.<\/p>\n
