With 16 armor sets found in\u00a0Breath of the Wild<\/em><\/a>, not including those that can only be obtained through Amiibos<\/a>, many players won’t test out each armor set in their adventures through Hyrule<\/a>, as some aren’t necessary for traversing the harsh environments of the Tabantha region or Death Mountain, while others are simply better for certain combat scenarios than others.<\/p>\n

The Radiant Armor<\/a> is one such set that many players can go through the game without ever finding or using, due to it being both a little obscure as well as very niche in its use. That being said, the armor is well worth obtaining and can make some aspects of the game more enjoyable while running around wearing a glow-in-the-dark skull costume.<\/p>\n

In order to get the Radiant Armor set, players need to have reached and infiltrated Gerudo Town<\/a> using the Gerudo disguise. Once players have reached the male-averse town, they need to find the Secret Club, located in the middle alleyway to the left of the main entrance to Gerudo Town. When Link<\/a> first interacts with the Secret Club door, a person on the other side will ask for the correct password, which Link can’t answer even if the player already knows the correct one. In order to find this password, players need to complete a side quest aptly called Gerudo Secret Club<\/a>.<\/p>\n

In order to complete this side quest, players need to eavesdrop on\u00a0a certain group of ladies to get the password, which can be found in The Noble Canteen, down the first alley on the right of the main entrance to Gerudo Town. In order to get the password, players need to walk up to the group of gossiping ladies, get told to buzz off, then go around to the other side of the wall, where they will be given the option to eavesdrop on their conversations.<\/p>\n

After eavesdropping and obtaining the password, doing so again will also point Link in the direction of Perda and Lover’s Pond, a very short side quest involving a Gerudo woman searching for love.<\/p>\n

Now that players have the password, return to the Secret Club and give the guard the password in order to complete the quest and gain access to a hidden store. Inside this store is a very observant Gerudo who knows full well that Link is a man, as well as two armor sets for sale: the\u00a0Desert Voe set and the Radiant Set. The\u00a0Desert Voe\u00a0set is a great alternative to the Rubber set if players haven’t been able to find it and increases Link’s resistance to\u00a0the heat of the Gerudo Desert, while the Radiant Armor allows Link to blend in with Stal enemies and increases damage dealt by Bone weapons.\u00a0A full set of both armors will cost 4800 Rupees in total, or 2400 for each complete set, though in order to purchase the full Radiant set, Link also needs to turn over\u00a09 Luminous Stones, 3 for each individual piece.<\/p>\n

Since the Radiant armor is the only set that requires something other than Rupees to purchase, it should be no surprise that players need more Luminous Stones in order to upgrade the armor to its highest potential. To reach the fourth level on each piece of the armor, Link needs 130 Luminous Stones, 9 Bokoblin Guts, 9 Moblin Guts, 6 Molduga Guts, and 3 Lynel Guts in total. Luminous Stones are fairly easy to come across, especially at night, though the most prominent locations where players can find these deposits are on the outskirts of Zora Domain and the Yiga Clan Hideout.<\/p>\n

The much more difficult material to come across is the Molduga Guts since there are only 4 locations in the Gerudo Desert where they spawn, making farming for them a little more difficult and may require the Blood Moon in order to get all 6. Once the set has been fully upgraded, it will provide Link with a total defense stat of 60, the same as most other fully upgraded armor sets, as well as a bonus to Bone weapon damage when the full set is worn.<\/p>\n

For the most part, Bone weapons aren’t all that strong compared to late game elemental weapons, the Royal weapons, or the Master Sword. With the Radiant Armor, however, this can make otherwise weak weapons fairly powerful while also providing a respectable amount of defense as well. Stal enemy body parts are the most prominent source of Bone weapons, though they are very fragile and, in general, quite weak. On the flip side, Dragonbone Weapons wielded by high-level Moblins and Bokoblins<\/a> are a significantly better option to go after, since they are more durable and generally have a higher base damage than the standard wooden variations. In general, if the weapon has the word “bone” in its name or is a Stal body part, it will get an attack boost with the Radiant Armor set.<\/p>\n
