Call of Duty: Warzone<\/em><\/strong> has seen many additions made over the years, though not all have been well received by fans. One of the more divisive additions to\u00a0Call of Duty: Warzone<\/em><\/a>\u00a0is the ziplines, a traversal tool that recently drew the ire of Dr Disrespect.<\/p>\n

Dr Disrespect had a rough time in his most recent Call of Duty: Warzone<\/em> stream, suffering from stream snipers in multiple matches and losing due to their distraction. While he ultimately blamed the Season 2 update<\/a> for the prevalence of stream snipers, he was also critical of a mechanic that has been in the game for some time now: ziplines. Used to quickly traverse to the top of rooftops, the Doc believes that the mechanic only benefits those that are already positioned on the roof.<\/p>\n

Ziplines made their debut in Call of Duty: Warzone<\/em>\u2019s fifth season<\/a>, and their entire purpose is to give players an alternate way to reach the top of a building. With the only ways to get on top of a roof prior to the addition of ziplines being to parachute in or push up a lengthy set of stairs, they were seen as a positive when they first made their appearance in the game. However, Dr Disrespect recently took the time to focus on an inherent problem with the zipline system.<\/p>\n

In a since-deleted clip, Dr Disrespect referred to the Call of Duty: Warzone<\/em> feature<\/a> as \u201cchildish\u201d in its design, pointing to the lengthy animation that occurs after reaching the top as being unfair and unnecessary. Arguing that the extra animation gives the roof camper the advantage and allows them to \u201cnot get threatened\u201d by players that push, the Doc\u2019s argument is a fair one, and a larger argument can be made that there should be no extra animation needed once players reach the top of Verdansk’s ziplines.<\/p>\n

With players unable to cancel the zipline animation and jump off the roof, either, the design ensures that players hiding on top of buildings can kill unsuspecting zipline users with ease. While the Two Time did not share any suggestions for improvements like he has previously done with the Gulag<\/a>, his teammate ZLaner mentioned a possible change. Suggesting that players be able to hipfire when reaching the zipline\u2019s peak, the potential change could see Call of Duty: Warzone<\/em> players feeling like they at least have a chance to take down a well-prepared camper.<\/p>\n

With Dr Disrespect\u2019s previous call for change during the MAC-10 meta<\/a> likely having a role to play in the gun\u2019s fall from grace, it will be interesting to see if this criticism is heard as well. Regardless, Call of Duty: Warzone<\/em>\u2019s ziplines currently seem to do the exact opposite of what they are meant to.<\/p>\n
