Microsoft has been working hard to make its Xbox Game Pass<\/strong> service a must-have subscription for gamers. Xbox Game Pass<\/a> gives subscribers instant access to over 100 games across consoles, PC, and mobile devices, and new titles are added regularly. But like most other subscription service, occasionally titles leave Xbox Game Pass, and now Microsoft has confirmed five games that will be leaving Game Pass in March.<\/p>\n

On March 16, Xbox Game Pass subscribers will be losing access to\u00a0Alvastia Chronicles<\/em>,\u00a0Astrologaster<\/em>,\u00a0Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night<\/em>,\u00a0Kona<\/em>, and\u00a0The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt<\/em>. Out of those games,\u00a0The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt<\/em> is certainly the biggest loss for Xbox Game Pass, as it’s one of the most-award winning games ever produced.\u00a0The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt<\/em> took home numerous Game of the Year awards<\/a> in 2015, and is generally considered to be one of the best games ever made.<\/p>\n

Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night<\/em><\/a> is another big loss for Xbox Game Pass, though not quite as significant as\u00a0Witcher 3<\/em> leaving the service.\u00a0For the uninitiated,\u00a0Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night<\/em> is a spiritual successor to the Metroidvania-style\u00a0Castlevania<\/em> games like\u00a0Symphony of the Night<\/em>. It was well-received by fans of the genre and has helped spawn a franchise of its own, with other games in the series serving as homages to the NES-era\u00a0Castlevania<\/em> games.<\/p>\n

Kona<\/em> is not quite as well-known as\u00a0Bloodstained<\/em> or\u00a0The Witcher 3<\/em>, but it has its fans as well.\u00a0Kona<\/em> is reminiscent of walking simulator games<\/a>, but the gameplay is far more involved than other titles. Survival elements are thrown into the mix to add some extra challenge, and while it earned mixed reviews, anyone intrigued by the premise may want to prioritize playing it before it’s removed from Game Pass.<\/p>\n

While games are removed from Xbox Game Pass regularly, other titles are added as well. In fact, today saw the addition of\u00a0Madden NFL 21\u00a0<\/em>to Xbox Game Pass Ultimate<\/a>, and\u00a0Star Wars: Squadrons<\/em>\u00a0is coming to the service in the near future as well. It’s likely that there are even more Xbox Game Pass games coming soon as Microsoft likes to release them in batches, and the March batch has not been revealed at the time of this writing.<\/p>\n

In the meantime, Xbox Game Pass subscribers<\/a> should be sure to check out\u00a0The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt<\/em>,\u00a0Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night<\/em>,\u00a0Kona<\/em>,\u00a0Alvastia Chronicles<\/em>, and\u00a0Astrologaster<\/em> while they are still available.<\/p>\n
