However, the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/final-fantasy-7-remake-cost-price-ps5-70\/\"><em>Final Fantasy 7 Remake<\/em> PS5 port<\/a> wasn&#8217;t the only thing that Square Enix announced recently. It also confirmed two other\u00a0<em>Final Fantasy 7<\/em> projects that are in active development, with the games helping to establish an interesting pattern with other\u00a0<em>FF7<\/em> spin-off games.<\/p>\n<p>Shortly after revealing the\u00a0<em>Final Fantasy 7 Remake<\/em> PS5 port, Square Enix announced\u00a0<em>Final Fantasy 7: Ever Crisis<\/em> and\u00a0<em>Final Fantasy 7: The First Soldier<\/em>.\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/final-fantasy-7-ever-crisis-mobile\/\"><em>Ever Crisis<\/em> is an episodic retelling of the entire\u00a0<em>Final Fantasy 7\u00a0<\/em>storyline,<\/a> including the spin-offs, prequels, and sequels, that plays more like the original game.\u00a0<em>Final Fantasy 7: The First Soldier<\/em>, meanwhile, serves as a prequel to\u00a0<em>Final Fantasy 7<\/em> and is a mobile battle royale game.<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"related-single\"><strong>RELATED: <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/final-fantasy-7-remake-screenshots-sonon-kusakabe\/\">Final Fantasy 7 Remake Provides New Screenshots and Details on Sonon Kusakabe<\/a><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>The titles of these games help to establish an interesting pattern for\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/tag\/final-fantasy-7\/\"><em>Final Fantasy 7<\/em><\/a>, and while it could all be a coincidence, it does seem as though Square Enix is purposefully titling\u00a0<em>FF7<\/em> spin-off games so that they fill out the alphabet.<\/p>\n<figure><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/static0.gamerantimages.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/03\/3.jpg\"\/><\/figure>\n<p>Here is a list of\u00a0<em>Final Fantasy 7\u00a0<\/em>spin-off games (and in the case of\u00a0<em>Advent Children<\/em>, movie)<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Advent Children<\/li>\n<li>Before Crisis<\/li>\n<li>Crisis Core<\/li>\n<li>Dirge of Cerberus<\/li>\n<li>Ever Crisis<\/li>\n<li>First Soldier<\/li>\n<li>G-Bike<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>It&#8217;s clear from the list that there is a\u00a0<em>Final Fantasy 7<\/em> spin-off game for the first seven letters of the alphabet. Assuming Square Enix sticks to this pattern, one could potentially guess at the titles for future\u00a0<em>Final Fantasy 7\u00a0<\/em>games. Perhaps the <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/final-fantasy-7-remake-part-2-tetsuya-nomura-not-directing\/\">upcoming\u00a0<em>Final Fantasy 7 Remake<\/em> part 2<\/a> will include a subtitle that starts with the letter &#8220;H.&#8221; There is already an upcoming\u00a0<em>Final Fantasy 7\u00a0<\/em>project that features the letter &#8220;I&#8221; after all.<\/p>\n<p>Alongside the\u00a0<em>Final Fantasy 7 Remake<\/em> PS5 port, Square Enix also confirmed\u00a0<em>Final Fantasy 7 Remake Intergrade<\/em>. This is a <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/final-fantasy-7-remake-new-yuffie-images\/\">PS5 exclusive Yuffie DLC episode<\/a> that should help re-introduce fans to the character for her expanded role in the second part of the\u00a0<em>Final Fantasy 7 Remake<\/em> proper. While one would think that this &#8220;breaks&#8221; the pattern, that&#8217;s not the case, as Square Enix hasn&#8217;t been releasing the projects in order. So Square Enix could skip &#8220;H&#8221; and go straight to &#8220;I,&#8221; then circle back to &#8220;H&#8221; later on.<\/p>\n<p>Considering the <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/final-fantasy-7-remake-sales\/\">immense popularity of\u00a0<em>Final Fantasy 7<\/em><\/a>, one has to imagine that Square Enix is going to continue to release as many projects based in its universe as possible.
