Now, <a href=\"http:\/\/gamerant.com\/tag\/super-smash-bros-ultimate\"><em>Super Smash Bros\u00a0<\/em><em>Ultimate<\/em><\/a> is well into Fighters Pass Vol. 2, with <em>ARMS<\/em>&#8216; Min Min,\u00a0Steve from\u00a0<em>Minecraft<\/em>, Sephiroth from\u00a0<em>Final Fantasy<\/em><em> 7<\/em>, and the recently\u00a0Pyra\/Mythra from\u00a0<i>Xenoblade Chronicles 2<\/i> coming any day now.<\/p>\n<p>And although\u00a0<em>Super Smash Bros.<\/em> creator and director Masahiro Sakurai is scheduled to detail\u00a0Pyra\/Mythra in a Mr. Sakurai Presents video tomorrow morning, fans seem to already be speculating as to what could come after Pyra\/Mythra. A\u00a0Monster Hunter and <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/super-smash-bros-ultimate-dlc-characters-crash-bandicoot-2\/\">Crash Bandicoot are among popular character requests<\/a> at the moment, but some fans have been looking even further in the future after Fighters Pass Vol. 2, now finding possible evidence of a third Fighters Pass.<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"related-single\"><strong>RELATED: <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/super-smash-bros-ultimate-sakurai-fighters-not-his-decision\/\">Super Smash Bros. Ultimate: Sakurai Says It&#8217;s Not Up to Him Whether Sword Fighters Make it In<\/a><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>Despite many\u00a0only expecting 6 additional characters (including Piranha Plant) after the game&#8217;s\u00a0release, Sakurai surprised fans with <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/super-smash-bros-ultimate-fighter-pass-characters\/\">the announcement\u00a0of Fighters Pass Vol. 2<\/a> last January. However, a datamine has now given many a reason to suspect the release of a possible third, albeit smaller, Fighters Pass. In his most recent YouTube video, popular\u00a0<em>Smash<\/em> speculation YouTuber PapaGenos mentioned that data regarding\u00a0<i>Super Smash Bros. Ultimate<\/i>&#8216;s stage select screen may point to 3 more DLC fighters.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"200\" height=\"113\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/eU-FmgxGVLA?start=483&#038;feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>After going over his own thoughts on a possible 4-in-1 <em>Monster Hunter<\/em> fighter, the YouTuber detailed an interesting follow-up to\u00a0information from\u00a0notable dataminer Mizumi from around <em>Super Smash Bros. Ultimate<\/em>&#8216;s initial release. Mizumi&#8217;s\u00a0datamine found 16 placeholder\u00a0character slots in <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/smash-bros-ultimate-true-ending-world-light\/\">the game&#8217;s World of Light mode,<\/a> and as of right now, 13 of those 16 slots seem to be filled, since Pyra\/Mythra count as 2 separate characters in the game&#8217;s code. This leaves 3 extra dummy character slots in the World of Light mode&#8217;s code. The real new discovery however comes from Twitter user eriktaf, who reached out to PapaGenos noting that after Fighters Pass 2 is completed, there will be just 3 more empty stage slots on\u00a0<em>Ultimate<\/em>&#8216;s stage select screen.<\/p>\n<p>If\u00a03 more stage slots were to be filled\u00a0after Fighters Pass Vol. 2, <em>Super Smash Bros. Ultimate<\/em>&#8216;s stage select screen\u00a0would be filled up perfectly. Before knowing that Pyra\/Mythra would count as 2 separate fighters in the game&#8217;s code, it seemed that 4 more characters would need to fill up the remaining World of Light slots\u00a0\u00a0after Fighters Pass Vol. 2. While 4 more fighters with 4 stages wouldn&#8217;t fill the\u00a03 leftover\u00a0stage select slots\u00a0nice and neatly, seeing that <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/super-smash-bros-ultimate-dlc-characters-pyra-mythra-female-representation\/\">Pyra\/Mythra count as 2 characters<\/a> with 1 stage now would mean that a Fighters Pass Vol. 3 with 3 additional characters would conveniently fill up each remaining stage slot.<\/p>\n<p>Of course, this is nothing more than a rather convoluted fan-theory at the moment and all of this information could be completely arbitrary, but one final mini Fighters Pass to round things out seems like just the type of thing Sakurai\u00a0would to round out round <em>Super Smash Bros.\u00a0<\/em><em>Ultimate<\/em>.
