One of the most anticipated game launches of March 2021\u00a0arrives Thursday\u00a0from indie publisher Devolver Digital<\/a>. That game is Loop Hero<\/em><\/strong>, an excitingly unique mix of roguelite and RPG mechanics, put together to make a challenging strategy experience. Loop Hero<\/em> will officially unlock via Steam at noon ET. Those who want to try the game before they buy can download Loop Hero<\/em>‘s currently-available free demo on Steam.<\/p>\n

Describing exactly what Loop Hero<\/em> is<\/a> isn’t a simple thing to do. The premise, however, is simple. The world has been erased and it’s up to the player to rebuild it through experiencing a timeless loop and rebuilding the world through recovered memories. Each expedition the player goes on is doomed to erasure, but successful runs result in preserved resources that can be used to grow a permanent survivors’ camp. In this way the Loop Hero can grow in power and take on greater challenges.<\/p>\n

Loop Hero<\/em>‘s roguelite<\/a>-ish gameplay involves the player traveling around a single loop over and over. By defeating enemies along this loop, the player earns cards that can be used to add challenging enemy spawns to the track, as well as stat-improving resources in the surrounding areas. The battles themselves are completed automatically, dependent on gear upgrades, leveling traits, bonus stats provided from resources, and survivor camp bonuses. Powering up and placing cards will ultimately lead to a challenging boss fight.<\/p>\n
