Rockstar Games’\u00a0Red Dead Redemption 2<\/em><\/a> provides fans with a number of different activities that truly allow players to immerse themselves in the life of an outlaw on the fringes of the Wild Wild West. And that includes heists, robberies, fights, bounties, and recreational activities. But one of the best activities is the ability to hunt all kinds of animals.<\/p>\n

There are\u00a0plenty of challenges and upgrades available to players who spend the time to\u00a0become a master hunter, though one of the real tests of a player’s master hunter skills is the tracking and hunting of a number of Legendary Animals.\u00a0Conveniently,\u00a0that’s exactly what we’ll be exploring further today.<\/p>\n

16 <\/span>The Legendary Bharati Grizzly Bear Is\u00a0Located At Grizzlies East<\/h2>\n
<\/figure>\n

Players will encounter a couple of Legendary Animals throughout the course of the story, with Arthur joining Hosea to hunt down the Bharati Grizzly Bear during the “Exit Pursued by a Bruised Ego” mission<\/a>.<\/p>\n

You can either choose to hunt the bear down following the mission or you can return to O’Creagh’s Run just south of the “O” in Ambarino to take down the powerful bear, earning the Bear Claw Trinket and Legendary Bear Head Hat.<\/p>\n

15 <\/span>The Legendary White Bison Lives At Lake Isabella<\/h2>\n
<\/figure>\n

Lake Isabella is located just to the west of the first “A” in Ambarino on the map, though it is advisable to walk to the north shore of the lake on foot with cover scent on, as the Legendary White Bison can be easily spooked and players will be given a warning about too much noise in the area.<\/p>\n

The White Bison can be taken down with any preferred weapon<\/a> without\u00a0worrying about damaging the valuable pelt, which can earn players the Bison Horn Talisman\u00a0from a Fence and add to a few pieces of the Trapper’s specialized clothing sets.<\/p>\n

14 <\/span>The Legendary Bighorn Ram\u00a0Can Be Found\u00a0Near Cattail Pond<\/h2>\n
<\/figure>\n

The Bighorn Ram can be found fairly early in the game as it is located to the northwest of Valentine<\/a>, east of the Cattail Pond on Dakota River, in the area above the train tracks.<\/p>\n

The sale of the pelt to the Trapper will help unlock clothing sets while a Fence will sell players the Ram Horn Trinket to double up their herbal foraging. This helps with unlocking the tedious Herbalist challenges a bit faster to further add to Arthur and John’s extensive wardrobes.<\/p>\n

13 <\/span>The Legendary\u00a0Wolf\u00a0Is Located At Cotorra Springs<\/h2>\n
<\/figure>\n

Red Dead Redemption 2<\/em> is home to a number of different geological areas,\u00a0including the geysers that can be located at Cotorra Springs \u2014 which features the location of a hidden treasure as well as the Legendary Wolf.<\/p>\n

After tracking the animal using techniques established by Hosea during the Grizzly Bear hunt, players can take out the Legendary Wolf and earn themselves new clothing sets and the Wolf Heart Trinket, which will allow you to consume more alcohol before getting wasted.<\/p>\n

12 <\/span>The Legendary\u00a0Elk\u00a0Roams Near Bacchus Station<\/h2>\n
<\/figure>\n

Some players like to go out hunting with multiple horses<\/a> in order to carry as many pelts and carcasses as possible.\u00a0This comes in handy when hunting the Legendary Wolf and Elk\u00a0since they are in very close proximity to each other, and each takes up a full spot on your mount after skinning.<\/p>\n

The Legendary Elk can be found to the east of Fort Wallace below Baccus Station, and will earn you extra looted money thanks to the\u00a0Elk Antler Trinket.<\/p>\n

11 <\/span>The Legendary\u00a0Buck\u00a0Can Be Tracked In\u00a0Black Bone Forest<\/h2>\n
<\/figure>\n

Thankfully there aren’t many Legendary Animals in the vast landscape of West Elizabeth, though players will be able to find the Legendary Buck in the Black Bone Forest almost directly south of the “B” in Big Valley on the map.<\/p>\n

Be sure to also visit the Trapper’s hut nearby to sell the pelt and add to the various clothing sets made available as you sell more Legendary pelts.\u00a0You’ll also gain the crucial\u00a0Buck Antler Trinket to increase the quality of all skinned\u00a0animals.<\/p>\n

10 <\/span>The Legendary\u00a0Coyote\u00a0Lives Near\u00a0Scarlett Meadows<\/h2>\n
<\/figure>\n

Lemoyne is home to a number of Legendary Animals including the Legendary Coyote, who can be found in Scarlett Meadows, just under the “L” of Lemoyne, which is also conveniently located near the gang’s camp\u00a0west of Rhodes.<\/p>\n

Players can outfit themselves with the Legendary Coyote Mountain Hat and the Coyote Fang Trinket, which\u00a0will increase your Dead-Eye experience by 10% to make the game a little easier while you look a little more stylish.<\/p>\n

9 <\/span>The Legendary\u00a0Fox Can Be Found North Of Rhodes<\/h2>\n
<\/figure>\n

Mattock Pond lies north of Rhodes and east of the Southfield Flats, and is home to the Legendary Fox.\u00a0It also happens to be very conveniently located just north of the Fence in Rhodes, making it easy to pick up the Fox Claw Trinket after tracking and hunting your prize.<\/p>\n

While the Legendary Fox pelt will help complete a few clothing sets from the Trapper, it’s the increased duration of your Eagle Eye gained from the Fox Claw Trinket that makes this pelt a must-have for hunters.<\/p>\n

8 <\/span>The Legendary\u00a0Boar\u00a0Can Be Tracked In Bluewater Marsh<\/h2>\n
<\/figure>\n

The swamps to the north of Saint Denis, known as Bluewater Marsh, can be a dangerous place for players making the journey through the area at night, as it is filled with ghosts and zombie-like Night Folk<\/a>.<\/p>\n

However, the Legendary Boar can also be found there between Saint Denis and the Van Horn Trading Post, just above the first “A” in Bluewater Marsh on the map. The earned Boar Tusk Talisman decreases your horse’s speed and stamina drains, and the pelt will further a number of clothing sets from the Trapper.<\/p>\n

7 <\/span>The Legendary\u00a0Bullgator\u00a0Will Hunt You Down In Bayou Nwa<\/h2>\n
<\/figure>\n

The Legendary Bullgator is another of the Legendary Animals that can be encountered during the story, as it hunted down Arthur, Dutch and their allies in Bayou Nwa before escaping.\u00a0Though that means it can’t be hunted until after the “Country Pursuits” mission<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The Alligator Tooth Talisman that can be purchased from a Fence after skinning the animal will decrease the Dead Eye core speed, which can prove to be a very valuable boost during an extended gunfight.<\/p>\n

6 <\/span>The Legendary\u00a0Beaver Makes His Home At Butcher Creek<\/h2>\n
<\/figure>\n

The location of the Legendary Beaver is not really a big surprise, as they can be found at a large Beaver Dam located in Butcher Creek, which is west of the Van Horn Trading Post near the Elysian Pool.<\/p>\n

A large number of beavers can be found in this area in general for those looking to knock off a few other challenges and quests that involve the sometimes elusive animal. The Beaver tooth Trinket will save you a bit of money and time in the long run as it decreases the rate of weapon degradation by 10%.<\/p>\n

5 <\/span>The Legendary Moose\u00a0Can Be Found On Roanoke Ridge<\/h2>\n
<\/figure>\n

Players who have already visited the Doverhill laboratory of inventor Marko Dragic, which is a fun homage to Nikola Tesla and his Wardenclyffe\/Tesla Tower experiment, will already know of the area in which to locate the Legendary Moose.<\/p>\n

The Legendary Animal pop-up will alert players to the start of the tracking location at the north of the Roanoke Ridge, which will earn players increased Health experience thanks to the Moose Antler Trinket.<\/p>\n

4 <\/span>The Legendary\u00a0Giaguaro Panther\u00a0Will Find You\u00a0In Lemoyne<\/h2>\n
<\/figure>\n

One of the most difficult Legendary Animals to hunt down in\u00a0Red Dead Redemption 2<\/em>\u00a0is the Giaguaro Panther.<\/i>\u00a0It can be found in Lemoyne, to the west of Shady Belle and near the coast of the\u00a0Lannahechee River, though it can only be accessed after players have reached the ninth rank in the Master Hunter Challenge.<\/p>\n

Players will need to not only track down the Giaguaro panther, but also quickly avoid its deadly pounce while tracking its camouflaged form in Dead-Eye mode to get a kill shot and earn the Panther’s Eye Trinket.\u00a0It decreases the Dead-Eye drain speed.<\/p>\n

3 <\/span>The Legendary\u00a0Pronghorn\u00a0Lives At Del Lobo Rock<\/h2>\n
<\/figure>\n

While the majority of Legendary Animals can be tracked and hunted during the main story, the final three animals should only be accessed during the Epilogue as the areas around Blackwater again become available.\u00a0But risk-taking players might attempt to brave the high wanted level early to track down Legendary Animals like the Pronghorn.<\/p>\n

The Pronghorn can be found east of Fort Mercer and near Rio Del Lobo Rock.\u00a0It’ll earn players The Pronghorn Horn Trinket, which will\u00a0keep mounted carcasses from spoiling over time.<\/p>\n

2 <\/span>The Legendary\u00a0Tatanka Bison\u00a0Can Be Found At Hennigan’s Stead<\/h2>\n
<\/figure>\n

Players can find the Legendary Tatanka Bison way south of Blackwater, past Thieves Landing, and south of Stillwater Creek. It’s in the familiar area of Hennigan’s Stead,\u00a0which houses MacFarlane’s Ranch from\u00a0Red Dead Redemption<\/em>.<\/p>\n

The Tatanka Bison is a little northwest of the Manteca Falls, and players will be able to not only complete a few clothing sets from the Trapper but also decrease the amount of received melee damage thanks to the\u00a0Tatanka Bison Horn Trinket.<\/p>\n

1 <\/span>The Legendary\u00a0Cougar\u00a0Hunts At Gaptooth Ridge<\/h2>\n
<\/figure>\n

Finally, the Legendary Cougar can be found at one of the farthest points in New Austin. It’s to the west of the familiar city of Tumbleweed (which also appears in the original\u00a0Red Dead Redemption<\/em>), off of a path that runs right between the “P” and “T” of Gaptooth Ridge.<\/p>\n

While not as dangerous as the Giaguaro Panther, players could still be surprised after tracking down the Cougar. Skinning the animal will complete a few clothing sets<\/a> while increasing Stamina experience with the Cougar Fang Trinket.<\/p>\n
