It’s been almost a year and a half since the latest entry in the Gears of War<\/strong> <\/em>series, Gears 5<\/em>, released on Xbox One and PC back in 2019. Almost two years later, the game is still getting content through its Operation system, with Gears 5<\/em> getting Operation 6<\/a> earlier this week.<\/p>\n

Though Gears 5<\/em> is still getting new content, The Coalition is no doubt hard at work planning and developing the next entry in the Gears of War<\/em> series. Now, the Cinematics Producer of The Coalition<\/a> has tweeted out that the studio is actively hiring full-time positions on the team for roles such as Community Manager Director, Lead Cinematic Animator, and much more.<\/p>\n

The full list of full-time job positions features 12 roles, with an additional 12 contract roles available as well.\u00a0The website reads, “The Coalition is looking for people who are a great cultural fit with our team and have the energy, passion, and determination to get things done.” The studio\u00a0is looking to hire a Senior 3D Marketing Artist, as well as several Senior Gameplay-related positions on the team. Naturally, most of these open positions don’t give any concrete details on the upcoming Gears of War 6<\/em> title<\/a> currently in development, but\u00a0it is known\u00a0that these positions will be related to future Gears of Wars<\/em> projects, as the website specifically makes mention of the series.<\/p>\n

However, something\u00a0that’s also known is\u00a0what these positions likely aren’t hiring for. There have been plenty of rumors going around that Gears of War 2<\/em> was getting a remaster sometime in 2021. Unfortunately, those Gears of War 2<\/em> Remastered rumors were shut down<\/a>\u00a0by the official Gears of War<\/em> Twitter account. While the tweet mentioned that the focus was explicitly on Gears 5<\/em> at the moment, a sequel is no doubt currently in development for the Xbox Series X.<\/p>\n
