Ryan Reynolds recently finished filming Netflix<\/strong><\/a>\u2019s\u00a0The Adam Project<\/strong><\/em>\u00a0<\/strong>in his hometown of Vancouver. The\u00a0Deadpool<\/em>\u00a0star took to social media to share behind-the-scenes photos from his sci-fi time travel film.<\/p>\n

In the upcoming Netflix feature, Reynolds stars as a man who travels back in time to team up with his 13-year old self. Together they strive to find their late father, who has information that could help save the future.\u00a0Shawn Levy, who is a producer on the hit Netflix series\u00a0Stranger Things<\/em>,\u00a0<\/em>was tapped to direct a loaded cast that includes Jennifer Garner (13 Going on 30<\/em>), Zoe Saldana (Guardians of the Galaxy<\/em>), Catherine Keener (Get Out<\/em>), and Mark Ruffalo (Avengers: Endgame<\/em>)<\/a>\u00a0<\/em>as Reynolds\u2019 father. Newcomer, Walker Scobell plays Reynolds\u2019 teenage self.<\/p>\n

Reynolds took to social media to thank his fellow co-stars after wrapping filming four days ahead of schedule, reminding everyone that the film features numerous different Marvel and DC characters<\/a>. \u201cGamora, Elektra, The Hulk, Deadpool, and the kid who\u2019ll eventually play Deadpool when I crawl into a box and turn into a skeleton. If\u00a0#TheAdamProject\u00a0is a fraction as beautiful and funny and wild as it was to shoot, then I guess we really pulled something off,\u201d he wrote before going on to thank Netflix and his \u201cbeautiful hometown of Vancouver.\u201d\u00a0Banshee\u2019s<\/em>\u00a0Jonathon Tropper<\/a>\u00a0penned the script and told\u00a0Collider<\/em>\u00a0that the movie doesn\u2019t focus primarily on time traveling. \u201cIt\u2019s a movie about people,\u201d said Topper\u00a0while also noting that\u00a0The Adam Project<\/em>\u00a0is more about the story of loss and the character’s attempts to try to come to grips with what that means through an epic adventure. Netflix has yet to announce when\u00a0<\/em>the film will be released.<\/p>\n
