Dragon Ball Super<\/em> is an installment in the popular Dragon Ball<\/em><\/a> franchise. The series came out several years ago, and a lot of fans were very happy as it brought back old memories. The\u00a0Dragon Ball Super<\/em> anime ended back in 2018, but the manga is still going on.<\/p>\n

Dragon Ball Super<\/em>\u00a0was an action-packed series, and the studio involved with the anime delivered a lot of quality episodes. It was a great experience for all the fans, however, as is always the case, the series wasn’t perfect. There are a lot of things that can be done to ensure that the sequel to Dragon Ball Super<\/em> will be even better.<\/p>\n

10 <\/span>The Essence Of A Good Anime: A Good Plot<\/h2>\n
<\/figure>\n

Dragon Ball Super<\/em> was seriously lacking when it came to the plot. A lot of the fans were extremely disappointed with the below-average story of Dragon Ball Super<\/em>. It was underwhelming and there’s no doubt that the story could have been made better.<\/p>\n

Due to the lack of a proper story, Dragon Ball Super<\/em> never hit the heights that it could have. The Future Trunks saga in Dragon Ball Super<\/em> was outstanding, and more arcs like that would make the sequel an even greater hit with the Dragon Ball<\/em> community.<\/p>\n

9 <\/span>More Attention Needs To Paid To Other Characters<\/h2>\n
<\/figure>\n

Goku has been a crucial part of every Dragon Ball<\/em> series, and, as expected, he was at the center of things in Dragon Ball Super<\/em>. Whilst this\u00a0isn’t necessarily a bad thing, having Goku continuously in the spotlight can come at the detriment of the development of other characters.<\/p>\n

There are many\u00a0other pivotal characters in the series, such as\u00a0Gohan, who\u00a0could have used a bit more attention. The unwavering recognition given to the main character ruins the chance of others received interesting arcs of their own. Some fans, then, will be expecting that the sequel handles the other important characters with more care. Goku may be the face of the series, but he’s far from the only fan favorite.<\/p>\n

8 <\/span>Fights Need To Be More Engaging<\/h2>\n
<\/figure>\n

Dragon Ball Super<\/em> consisted of a lot of fights. The Tournament of Power was packed with some outstanding ones. Goku’s bouts\u00a0versus Jiren and Kefla were some of the best\u00a0in the arc, perhaps in Dragon Ball<\/em> history.\u00a0There were other good fights in the series, which provided a great deal of entertainment to the fans.<\/p>\n

Some of the fights in Dragon Ball Super<\/em>\u00a0were great, but there were also a lot of inconsistent ones\u00a0(they could be a little too long at times as in\u00a0Dragon Ball Z<\/em> too<\/a>). This is something that the sequel should improve on, to bring even long-time fans something they haven’t seen before.<\/p>\n

7 <\/span>The Quality of Animation Should Be Consistent<\/h2>\n

When it comes to animation, Dragon Ball Super<\/em>\u00a0was also inconsistent, tending to produce either a high-quality episode or a low-quality one. The studio working on the episodes tried to make the series as enjoyable as possible. The fight between Jiren and Goku was outstanding, while on the other hand, Goku’s bout against Beerus\u00a0(in which he almost lost his life)<\/a> had some major flaws.<\/p>\n

Due to the sharp decrease in the quality of animation for some episodes, Dragon Ball Super<\/em> drew a lot of criticism from the fans. The sequel should definitely strive to retain a constant standard of animation.<\/p>\n

6 <\/span>Limiting The Number Of Power-Ups<\/h2>\n
<\/figure>\n

Dragon Ball Super<\/em> introduced a lot of power-ups. Usually, it isn’t a bad thing to debut new powers in the series, but it’s important to tread carefully. When there is already mass confusion regarding power levels, it makes the new powers very unappealing.<\/p>\n

When Dragon Ball Super<\/em> introduced Ultra Instinct, a lot\u00a0of fans reacted negatively. They felt that another power-up just made things even more complicated. As such, it would be a good idea to limit the number of power-ups that will be introduced in the future.<\/p>\n

5 <\/span>Not\u00a0Too Many\u00a0New Characters<\/h2>\n
<\/figure>\n

Each Dragon Ball<\/em> installment introduces\u00a0a lot of new characters, which can provide a breath of fresh air. The new characters allow the fans to see the creative side of the Dragon Ball<\/em> team as well as introducing new personalities to embrace, but there is a drawback to having a lot of characters.<\/p>\n

Dragon Ball<\/em> has an incredibly large cast, which means there is almost every kind of character present in the series. The introduction of new ones is unavoidable in a sequel, but too many at once would cause chaos and prevent the fans from enjoying the older characters.<\/p>\n

4 <\/span>Older, Less Iconic Characters\u00a0Being Given More Limelight<\/h2>\n
<\/figure>\n

One of the biggest complaints about Dragon Ball<\/em> is its handling of older, less iconic characters. They just\u00a0don’t get as much attention as the newer additions. This is a shame, as many of them\u00a0still have so much\u00a0to offer.<\/p>\n

A sequel focusing on the older characters a bit more would bring back the fans who enjoyed the previous installments of Dragon Ball. <\/em>After all, nostalgia is a very powerful (and often very profitable) tool.<\/p>\n

3 <\/span>The Revival Of Gohan<\/h2>\n
<\/figure>\n

Gohan’s growth as a character has been dormant\u00a0for a long time. He\u00a0was one of the headliners of\u00a0Dragon Ball Z,<\/em>\u00a0where he proved his worth in several great fights (such as versus Dabra and Buutenks)<\/a>. Many viewers were expecting Gohan to shine in Dragon Ball Super<\/em>, but they were let down. Gohan was a spectator in most of the fights and, overall, just wasn’t as involved as\u00a0the fans would have liked.<\/p>\n

A sequel would provide the creators with a great opportunity to evolve him a little more. Without a doubt, there is still huge potential in Gohan as a character (he can even do things his father can’t)<\/a> and he definitely deserves to be more prominent.<\/p>\n

2 <\/span>Vegeta Getting His Moments To Shine Too<\/h2>\n
<\/figure>\n

Vegeta is Goku’s rival, which naturally makes him one of the main characters in the series. At one point, Vegeta was stronger than Goku<\/a>, but now the tables have turned with the latter pulling ahead in terms of power.<\/p>\n

Vegeta hasn’t been completely overlooked, but he was on the receiving end of some terrible losses\u00a0in Dragon Ball Super<\/em>. He was humbled by Hit in the Tournament of Power (his ego often gets the best of him)<\/a>\u00a0and handsomely beaten by Golden Frieza. With Goku awakening Ultra Instinct, Vegeta has some serious catching up to do. The sequel should give him an opportunity to do just that.<\/p>\n

1 <\/span>Introducing More Female Characters<\/h2>\n
<\/figure>\n

The female characters in Dragon Ball<\/em> are very well-written. Android 18 and Bulma are arguably among the best and strongest female characters in the series<\/a>. However, there aren’t nearly enough like them in the series.<\/p>\n

Dragon Ball Super<\/em> introduced new female characters\u00a0in\u00a0Kale and Caulifa and both of them were excellent additions to the cast. The two of them were a surprise package in the Tournament of Power. The sequel should build on this and introduce more powerhouse female characters, a move which would only contribute further to the\u00a0popularity of the series. New cast members\u00a0should never be added\u00a0simply for the sake of it, but thoughtful new additions made sparingly would be very beneficial for\u00a0the diversity of the show.<\/p>\n
