Almost a year and a half after its\u00a0release,\u00a0The Legend of Bum-bo<\/strong><\/em> has finally received an update to add new characters, enemies, and items to the title. This\u00a0comes after the game’s creator Edmund McMillen commented on an update<\/a> in November, with this update titled The Lost Expansion<\/em>\u00a0coming in to fulfill\u00a0that promise.<\/p>\n

The new expansion is available for free to any players who own\u00a0The Legend of Bum-bo<\/em>, and adds new features directly to the base version of the game. Any new players picking up the\u00a0Binding of Isaac<\/em><\/a> prequel will also receive The Lost Expansion<\/em> with any purchases made since the update went live.<\/p>\n

This new expansion brings three new bosses, like the Tainted Peeper, that can change up runs in the deckbuilding roguelike from what players might be used to in the original version of the game. Alongside the new enemies is a new playable character known as The Lost, who brings its own twist on the normal mechanics for players to experiment with. However, the update doesn’t only cover new additions to the game, but similar to other Binding of Isaac<\/em> updates<\/a>\u00a0also includes a number of bug and UI fixes, as well as some quality of life enhancements like a mid-game save and continue.<\/p>\n
