Now, the actor has shared a funny video of his friends mocking him on the set of <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/tag\/captain-america\/\"><em>Captain America: The First Avenger<\/em><\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Evans&#8217; contract with Marvel Studios ended following\u00a0<em>Avengers: Endgame<\/em>.<em><b>\u00a0<\/b><\/em><a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/captain-america-ending-avengers-endgame-bad\/\">At the end of <em>Avengers: Endgame<\/em><\/a>\u00a0Steve Rogers used the Infinity Stones to travel back to the 1940s so that he could be with Peggy Carter (Hayley Atwell). Steve&#8217;s arc concludes with him handing over his shield to Falcon\/Sam Wilson (Anthony Mackie) and the ramifications of that decision will be explored in the upcoming Disney Plus series <em>The Falcon and the Winter Soldier<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p><strong><span class=\"related-single\">RELATED:\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/chris-evans-captain-america-shield-boy-sister-dog-attack\/\">Chris Evans Gifts Captain America Shield to Boy Who Saved Sister From Dog Attack<\/a><\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>In 2018, Evans <a href=\"https:\/\/screenrant.com\/mcu-captain-america-pros-cons-chris-evans-return-steve-rogers\/\"  rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">suggested he would never play Captain America again<\/a>.\u00a0He tweeted, &#8220;Officially wrapped on\u00a0<em>Avengers 4<\/em>. It was an emotional day, to say the least. Playing this role over the last 8 years has been an honor. To everyone in front of the camera, behind the camera, and in the audience, thank you for the memories! Eternally grateful.&#8221; Earlier this year, it was\u00a0reported that Evans was nearing a deal to reprise his role as Captain America in at least one future MCU project. However,\u00a0Evans immediately shut down these rumors\u00a0by tweeting, &#8220;News to me&#8221; with a shrug emoji.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"320\" height=\"320\" frameborder=\"0\" src=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/ChrisEvans\/status\/1367146921861787648\" frameborder=\"0\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>The Marvel star was in the news once again after he shared a hilarious behind-the-scenes video from <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/captain-america-real-hero-avengers\/\">the first<em> Captain America<\/em> film<\/a>. Evans tweeted that when he filmed <em>The First Avenger<\/em>\u00a0in 2010, two of his high school buddies were his \u201cassistants.\u201d In the 45-second video, his friend Jon was seen largely unimpressed by his friend\u2019s stunts. Jon nodded his head in disapproval after Evans dove into the water after a HYDRA agent and leaped across the HYDRA base. At one point he even said, \u201cHe will fall\u2026I hope he falls.\u201d The video has accumulated more than 1 million views in just 24 hours.<\/p>\n<p>Evans is set to reunite with the Russo brothers (<i>Avengers: Endgame\u00a0<\/i>and\u00a0<i>Infinity War<\/i>) for the Netflix <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/ryan-gosling-chris-evans-netflix-movie\/\">spy thriller\u00a0<i>The Gray Man<\/i><\/a>. The film is based on Mark Greaney\u2019s 2009 debut novel and will follow a freelance assassin (Ryan Gosling) who finds himself hunted across the globe by his former CIA cohort (Evans). Billy Bob Thornton (<em>Fargo<\/em>), Ana de Armas (<em>Blade Runner 2049<\/em>), and\u00a0<i>Bridgerton&#8217;s\u00a0<\/i>Reg\u00e9-Jean Page will also star in the Netflix thriller.\u00a0Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely are credited for polishing the Russos&#8217; screenplay.<\/p>\n<p><em>The Gray Man<\/em> is reportedly Netflix&#8217;s\u00a0most expensive\u00a0film to date. The upcoming blockbuster started filming last month in Los Angeles. In a recent interview with\u00a0<em>Barstool Sports<\/em>, the Marvel directors stated that the film is a \u201cmodern interpretation of a spy thriller\u201d inspired by the Bond franchise.
