MAR10 Day is right around the corner and Nintendo is\u00a0celebrating with a game sale for select Nintendo Switch<\/strong> titles. March 10 has become known as Mario<\/em> Day<\/a>, or MAR10 Day among Nintendo fans, and The Big N has put together a myriad of discounts and celebrations over the years to commemorate. This year is no different, as Nintendo has discounted multiple games for a limited time that star Mario and his buddies.<\/p>\n

The success of the Nintendo Switch is undeniable at this point. In 2020 the Switch had the best year of any console ever<\/a>, save the Wii in 2008. Mario<\/em> was a big part of that, and now Nintendo is looking to continue that success with discounts on some of the big Mario<\/em> titles.<\/p>\n

The discounted games for MAR10 this year perhaps do not top the list of the most popular Mario<\/em> games on the Nintendo Switch<\/a>,\u00a0but there are still some highly rated and fan-favorite ones. There is a nice mix of party or multiplayer-style games and more single-player focused experiences. The discounts are available on the Nintendo eShop and the sale lasts until March 13 at 11:59 PM PT. The games will also be available at a cheaper rate at retailers such as Best Buy, Amazon, and Game Stop. The full lineup of discounted games are as follows, and the price listed here is what is on the Nintendo eShop:<\/p>\n

The discounted games this year may not seem as big-name as last year’s discounted MAR10 day games<\/a>. Super Mario Odyssey<\/em>,\u00a0Mario Kart 8 Deluxe<\/em>, and\u00a0New Super Mario Bros. U Deluxe\u00a0<\/em>were all titles that received large price cuts last year that are not on the list this time around, at least so far. It does seem like a surprise that Super Mario Odyssey,<\/em> for example, is not discounted. Perhaps come March 10th the game will be slashed in the eShop after all, but it just has not been mentioned yet.<\/p>\n

Especially with games like the well-received\u00a0Super Mario 3D All-Stars<\/em><\/a>\u00a0\u2013\u00a0which is soon to be taken off shelves completely having been released since last year’s MAR10 Day, one would perhaps expected that Mario\u00a0<\/em>title to have received a discount as well. Meanwhile, Super Mario 3D World + Bowser’s Fury\u00a0<\/em>just launched\u00a0last month, but perhaps it would be too ambitious to already discount that platform adventure.<\/p>\n
