Whether they’re smaller indie-titles or sleeper hits in a larger established series, for one reason or another, these games have flown under many players’ radars.\u00a0For those looking to\u00a0take a break from\u00a0Mortal Kombat 11\u00a0<\/em>and\u00a0Street Fighter V<\/em>, here are\u00a0the ten most underrated fighting games.<\/p>\n

10 <\/span>Soulcalibur III<\/h2>\n

While the\u00a0Soulcalibur <\/em>franchise<\/a> has many entries that are beloved by fans, such as\u00a0Soulcalibur II\u00a0<\/em>and\u00a0Soulcalibur IV,\u00a0<\/em>Soulcalibur III\u00a0<\/em>is one of the most slept on entries in the series. Introducing a staple to the series in character creation, the game greatly expanded upon the size of the roster when compared to the previous entry while maintaining the solid 3D weapon-based fighting the franchise is known for.<\/p>\n

With team-based gameplay inspired by\u00a0Marvel Vs. Capcom 2<\/em>, Skullgirls<\/em> is an indie-fighting game that features gorgeous traditionally animated hand-drawn characters. Utilizing a six-button fighting system, the game uniquely allows\u00a0players to choose whether they want to control one character or a team of two or three characters at once, proving\u00a0users with the ability to play how they want.<\/p>\n
