The two main characters appear suited and prepared for action in their respective posters\u00a0while the villainous Zemo appears in his classic purple mask, similar to the one the character donned in the comics.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"related-single\"><b>RELATED:\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/best-marvel-comics-before-falcon-winter-soldier\/\">10 Best Marvel Stories To Read In Preparation For The Falcon And The Winter Soldier Series<\/a><\/b><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">All set to premiere on March 19, <em>The Falcon and the Winter Soldier<\/em> will highlight the journey of the titular main characters following the events of <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Avengers: Endgame <\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">and will work as a <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/falcon-winter-soldier-sequel-civil-war\/\">direct sequel to 2016&#8217;s\u00a0<em>Captain America: Civil War<\/em><\/a><\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. The duo\u2019s abilities and patience will be put to the test after Captain America\/Steve Rogers hung his costume\u00a0and handed over his iconic shield to the Falcon. Fans will get to see whether\u00a0Falcon is able to take up and honor the responsibility bestowed upon him by his predecessor.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"320\" height=\"320\" frameborder=\"0\" src=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/Marvel\/status\/1368951443126775809\" frameborder=\"0\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Falcon first appeared in the Marvel Cinematic Universe in 2014\u2019s <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Captain America: The Winter Soldier<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, fighting along with Captain America and Black Widow to uncover a conspiracy within S.H.I.E.L.D. after the organization is infiltrated by HYDRA. Following the events of the film, Falcon agrees to help <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/falcon-winter-soldier-trailer-mcu\/\">track down the Winter Soldier<\/a> and is even invited to become a member of the Avengers.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This is when the Falcon first <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/falcon-winter-soldier-zemo\/\">crosses paths with Zemo<\/a>, the Sokovian soldier who loses his family during the battle between the Avengers and Ultron. In <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Captain America: Civil War<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, Zemo is on a mission to disband the Avengers and reveals to Iron Man\/Tony Stark who is responsible for his parents\u2019 death &#8211; Bucky Barnes. This revelation leads to a civil war breaking out among the members of the Avengers. Though he skipped his masked look in the movie, it seems like Br\u00fchl will be seen wearing the traditional costume from the comics in his reprisal of the character in the upcoming <em>The Falcon and the Winter Soldier<\/em>. In the comics, his mask gives him the ability to resist psychic attacks.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Sharon Carter, who has also appeared in the <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Captain America<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> films, will also be making a return. The great-niece of S.H.I.E.L.D.\u2019s founder, <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/marvel-disney-plus-shows-agent-carter-questions\/\">Director Peggy Carter<\/a>, VanCamp\u2019s character has previously helped the main characters of the series. It was revealed that she was one of the characters lost during The Blip, only to be brought back five years later.\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Fans who may have forgotten these characters\u2019 backstories can revisit their journeys in Marvel Studio\u2019s <em>Legends<\/em>\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">series on Disney Plus.
